A royal insider has shared an update about a decision King Charles has made regarding Prince Harry and Meghan Markle.
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex quit taking part in official royal duties in 2020, which led to the late Queen Elizabeth II removing their HRH titles. They were able to keep their Sussex titles.
Buckingham Palace confirmed in January 2020 that the couple would no longer use HRH titles because they were no longer working members of the Royal Family.
The couple's decision to step back from royal duties was announced shortly before they moved with Archie to California in June 2020. Lilibet was born in Santa Barbara, California in June 2021.

When Charles became king, Harry and Meghan’s children became Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet of Sussex.
Both Harry and Meghan were faced with calls to be stripped of their honorary titles, however, an insider who is reported to know King Charles well, said the monarch is not a ‘punitive’ individual and would ‘never want to humiliate’ his son and daughter-in-law.
The source, who spoke to the Mail, said Buckingham Palace was considering ‘all options on the table’, but downgrading the Duke and Duchess of Sussex is not something that is being ‘considered’.

In related news, documents filed to Companies House in April 2024 listed the US as the country where Prince Harry is usually a resident, instead of the UK as many may assume.
The Sussexes no longer have an official UK residence, and in early 2023, they were asked to vacate the Grade-II listed property Frogmore Cottage on the Windsor Estate.
More recently, the conservative US think tank The Heritage Foundation has repeatedly questioned Harry’s US immigration status due to comments he made in his memoir Spare about taking cocaine, marijuana, and psychedelic mushrooms.

The Heritage Foundation wants the US government to release his records to show whether he disclosed his previous drug use as this can block US visa applications.
US judge Carl Nichols ruled Prince Harry’s visa application should remain private in September 2024.
However, a mere five months after the case was seemingly closed, a lawsuit with the intention of making Harry’s private US immigration records public will be discussed in court this month.

The duke may not have to worry about being deported as Donald Trump told the press that he isn’t interested in sending the Duke of Sussex back to the UK for a very specific reason.
The reason won’t be music to Harry’s ears, however. President Trump declared “I don’t want to do that” when asked if he plans to send Harry packing.
Speaking to the New York Post, he added: “I’ll leave him alone. He’s got enough problems with his wife. She’s terrible.”
After throwing unnecessary jabs at Meghan, Trump took the opportunity to praise Prince William, saying: “I think William is a great young man.”
