King Charles III is on track to break a three-decade record previously held by his late mother.
The achievement is expected to be secured during the King's ongoing State Visit to the US, which was very nearly cancelled following an attempt against President Trump's life over the weekend.
An armed gunman, identified as Cole Tomas Allen, allegedly breached White House security during Saturday's Correspondents' Dinner and exchanged gunfire with law enforcement.
Trump had been in attendance alongside the First Lady, as well as several other high-profile White House officials and a collection of journalists. He and Melania Trump were surrounded by Secret Service and whisked out of the room while Allen was tackled.

According to District of Columbia Attorney Jeanine Pirro, federal charges are expected to be formally brought against the suspect.
Despite initial security concerns from members of the US and UK secret services, Buckingham Palace confirmed on Sunday that the scheduled State Visit would go on as planned.
As such, King Charles landed in Washington D.C. alongside Queen Camilla on Monday, where he met the Republican leader and Melania at the White House for what was supposed to be a celebration of America's 250th anniversary of the Declaration of Independence.
A speech the British monarch had planned to deliver to Congress later this week will also go ahead as scheduled, albeit with a few minor changes.
This is where Charles is expected to break a record set by his mother, the late Queen Elizabeth II.
In 1991, the former Queen - who passed away in September 2022, aged 96 - delivered a speech to Congress which lasted 12 minutes.

According to Politico, her son, Charles, 76, had initially planned on delivering a message equal in length.
Following this weekend's events, however, the King was forced to amend, extend and modify his message to address the latest assassination attempt made against Trump, 79.
Apparently, Charles - who is also only the second ever British King to speak in Congress 0 is now expected to speak for up to 30 minutes, surpassing the record previously held by his mother.
The King is said to have personally worked on his Congress speech incessantly and, according to Politico, could speak for up to 30 minutes - far surpassing the 12-minute speech performed by Queen Elizabeth all the way back in 1991.
"You can say a lot in 30 minutes in Congress," a source told the news outlet.
