Earlier this month, Kate Middleton announced that she’d finished chemotherapy, sharing an emotional video that featured footage of her enjoying life with her husband, Prince William, and three kids.

In the clip, she described how the past nine months had been ‘incredibly tough’ for her and her family, saying the cancer journey is ‘complex, scary and unpredictable for everyone’.

"Doing what I can to stay cancer-free is now my focus,” Kate went on.

“Although I have finished chemotherapy, my path to healing and full recovery is long and I must continue to take each day as it comes.

"I am however looking forward to being back at work and undertaking a few more public engagements in the coming months when I can.

"Despite all that has gone before, I enter this new phase of recovery with a renewed sense of hope and appreciation of life."

Fans were glad to hear the update from Kate, with many commenting on the ‘absolutely beautiful’ video accompanying her message.

But while some were praising the stunning cinematography, others couldn’t help but feel it reminded of them something.

Posting clips from the video spliced together with clips from, um, Twilight, one Instagram user said: “Like Alice, the Princess of Wales had a vision and that vision was recreating the Twilight saga.”

They added that they were ‘really glad to see she is doing better and the family having fun’, and that the comparison wasn’t ‘meant to mock her’.

“But when watching that video I kept seeing so many similarities???” the user continued.

“I could honestly go frame for frame and find a matching Twilight clip please tell me I'm not the only one seeing this lmao.”

Someone else joked: “They’re millennials so it’s absolutely plausible.”

A third agreed: “This is somehow the most ridiculous yet the most accurate thing I’ve ever seen.”

A fourth added: “IT’S SO TWILIGHT CODED IT CANT BE A COINCIDENCE.”

Others picked up on different details from the video after it was shared a few weeks ago, with one pointing out a moment in which Kate can be seen holding a butterfly.

"Holding a butterfly in your hands and letting it go symbolises themes of freedom and transformation," they wrote.

"Butterflies are commonly associated with change, growth and beauty due to their life cycle."

The insects are also thought to represent personal growth and protection, as well as hope and new beginnings.

Kate added in her message: "To all those who are continuing their own cancer journey - I remain with you, side by side, hand in hand. Out of darkness, can come light so let that light shine bright."
