Dad Sings To Daughter To Comfort Her While Escaping Wild Fires

Powerful video footage has emerged of a dad singing to his daughter as they attempt to escape the wildfires that are currently raging in California.

Joe Allen was trying to navigate a packed highway out of the city while surrounded with an orange haze, smoke, and flames.

The town of Paradise, where the family live, has been completely engulfed in flames and many homes have been destroyed by the fires that started last week.

During the video, posted on Facebook, Joe's three-year-old daughter Olivia can be heard telling her dad: "There's so much fire. We're gonna get on fire."

Surprisingly, Joe kept his cool about the situation and told his daughter that everything would be okay.

He tells Olivia: "Hey, guess what? We're not gonna catch on fire. We're gonna stay away from it and we'll be just fine, OK? We're doing all right."

To help calm his daughter Joe then softly breaks into song and softly sings: "Baby, it'll be all right."

Moments later the flames are gone and the embers are no longer visible and Joe calmly tells Olivia: "Look, we're past it, we're out of it, OK."

Olivia can be heard saying, "You did it, you did it!" As her dad responds, "we did it together."

"He was of course, worried. At one point we both thought we weren't going to make it out."

The Camp fire has left almost the entire town of Paradise in ruins and the Allen's have said that they believe they lost their home.

Olivia celebrated her third birthday once they had reached safety and Whitney posted a heartfelt message on Facebook.

She wrote: "As our lives drastically changed today, we are reminded what is most important.

"Tonight we celebrated Olivia's birthday because even though we lost everything today and so did my family... we didn't lose each other and that is truly what matters."

The area is also home to Hollywood A-listers and some have revealed that they have lost their homes.

In the video the actor stands outside his former home with just the remains of a burnt-out truck and staircase behind him.

Miley Cyrus also revealed that her home has also been destroyed, taking to Twitter, she did confirm that herself, fiancé Liam Hemsworth and their pets were all safe.
