World famous TikToker Khaby Lame detained by ICE amid Trump’s crackdown

The US immigration enforcement has detained TikToker Khaby Lame

As Donald Trump aims to increase deportations from the US, TikTokker Khaby Lame has been detained.

Workplaces all over the US have been raided, as the president seeks to mass deport immigrants from the US, using the Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE).

But chaos has erupted in Los Angeles following the policy, as the city is now protesting for the fourth consecutive day.

Trump later ordered that it was time to bring in the 'troops', after a British photographer needed surgery after being shot, and an Australian reporter was shot while reporting.

Against the wishes of California Governor Gavin Newsom, 2,000 National Guard troops entered the city.

The White House claimed that this step was, however, necessary, due to the 'violent protests threatening the security of and significant damage to Federal immigration detention facilities and other Federal property'.

The 78-year-old Republican aims to launch the 'biggest deportation operation' in US history, but LA is making its opinions on doing so very clear.

In June, the White House increased its goal for ICE officials to make at least 3,000 arrests per day. And authorities aren't just looking in workplaces, but are also raiding restaurants and retail shops.

One of the thousands to be detained is famous TikToker Khaby Lame, who has over 162 million followers on the platform.

Speaking to Men’s Journal, a spokesperson for ICE confirmed: "U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement detained Seringe Khabane Lame, 25, a citizen of Italy, June 6, at the Harry Reid International Airport, Las Vegas, Nevada for immigration violations."

They added: "Lame entered the United States April 30 and overstayed the terms of his visa. Lame was granted voluntary departure June 6 and has since departed the U.S."

Despite being detained, he has remained active on social media.

On 7 June, the star posted a snap of Venice Beach on his Instagram story, and also shared a picture of him with actor, Will Smith, which he captioned: 'Wow, what a great experience.

'Thanks for letting me be part of your movie.'"

The internet sensation made a cameo in the acting giant's film - Bad Boys: Ride or Die - released just last year.

The social media star was formerly working in a factory before he blew up online.

ICE have been conducting raids nearly every single day since Trump took back control of the White House, as hundreds of thousands of immigrants have been deported.
