Former First Lady Jill Biden has spoken out publicly about one way she is coping with her husband Joe's prostate cancer diagnosis.
Jill revealed she prays to her late son, Beau, for strength as part of her healing process.
She previously told SiriusXM’s Let’s Talk Off Camera with Kelly Ripa that she had noticed that Joe never slept through the night, leading her to suspect something was very wrong.
She reported that he was getting up 'seven times a night' to use the bathroom, so reported it to the White House medical team.

Doctor Biden made the prayer confession in a new interview on The Jamie Kern Lima Show.
She described turning to Beau for support in her prayers, after he tragically died of glioblastoma, a form of brain cancer, in 2015 at the age of 46.

She said she prays to him regularly and believes he hears her.
“I pray to Beau, and I think he listens,” Biden said, according to ABC News, as well as confessing that after Joe's diagnosis, she gets 'a little frustrated', adding “Beau, where are you? I need you.”
Beau was the Joe's eldest son, and the family has frequently paid tribute to him.
Jill said she often visits his graveside to talk to him, and says it provides much-needed comfort to her.
The former president, 83, received his prostate cancer diagnosis last year.
Elsewhere in the interview, she recalled struggling to accept that her stepson would die, saying she continued to hope for his recovery until his final moments.
She even confessed she had asked God to 'take her' instead of Beau.
“I kept praying and praying and saying … 'Take me,' or you know, we just try to make all these bargains and deals... I never ever gave up hope until Beau took his last breath, and so I just felt so betrayed by it."

She also described experiences she interprets as signs of Beau’s continued presence.
She recalled one instance, after a memorial service following his death, where she saw an eagle fly across the lake outside the family’s home and was sure it was a sign sent from him.
Whether such moments are understood as coincidence or something spiritual, Biden said she believes they can carry meaning.
Jill has been promoting her memoir, View from the East Wing, in which she writes about Beau’s death, Hunter Biden’s battles with addiction, and the Biden presidency.
She also spoke about Hunter on the podcast, saying it's now 'his time to shine'.
"One of the toughest things I had to do was when Hunter was taken to court and they played his book on tape in the courtroom, to hear him tell his story in his own words, I mean it was, like, so heartbreaking. I do believe a lot of times that good things come from bad things, and I think now is Hunter's time to shine,” Biden added..
