Euphoria star Hunter Schafer reveals her new passport lists her as male following Trump’s executive order

Trans star Hunter Schafer has revealed she now has a passport which lists her gender as male following Trump's executive order.

As of just yesterday (20 Feb), President Trump has signed more than 70 executive orders since being sworn into office in January - the most in a president's first 100 days in more than 40 years.

Two of which directly affect the US trans community, as the Republican leader announced that America would officially only recognise two sexes, and that trans women would be banned from competing in female sports.

After signing the anti trans order, the president sent a warning, as he said: "If you let men take over women's sports teams or invade your locker rooms, you will be investigated for violations."

The order regarding sexes states that: "Sexes are not changeable and are grounded in fundamental and incontrovertible reality."

Euphoria star Hunter Schafer has now revealed that the order has directly affected her, after her passport now refers to her as male, despite her being a transgender woman.

Speaking out in a since-deleted TikTok video, the actress said: “I’m not making this post to fear-monger, or to create drama, or receive consolation, I don’t need it.

"But I do think it’s worth posting to sort of note the reality of the situation and that it’s happening."

Highlighting the reality of the situation, she added: "I was shocked. I just didn’t think it was actually going to happen.

"I want to acknowledge my privilege, not only as a celebrity transwoman who is white […] I pass, and it still happened.

"No one, no matter how wealthy or white or pretty or whatever is excluded.

"I don’t give a f**k that they put an ‘M’ on my passport. It doesn’t change really anything about me or my transness, however, it does make life a little harder."

She reflected on what it will mean when she travels, noting that she may have to 'out herself' at border control 'much more often' than she would like to.

Reaching out to her devoted audience, she added: "Thinking about other trans women or other trans people who this might be happening to."

In his inaugural address on 20 January, Trump said: "As of today, it will henceforth be the official policy of the United States government that there are only two genders, male and female."

He has also made efforts to defund America's DEI programs - referring to diversity, equality and inclusion - having previously described them as 'woke'
