Charlie Kirk's widow has admitted to 'praying' she was expecting in the days following her husband's shock assassination.
Speaking to Megyn Kelly on SiriusXM this week, Erika Kirk explained that she and the late right-wing activist had always pictured having four children together, but only got around to having two.
Kirk was fatally shot back in September, whilst hosting a Republican rally at Utah Valley University.
The suspect, 22-year-old Tyler Robinson fired a single bullet at the Turning Point USA founder, 31, as he addressed over 3,000 spectators - one of whom was his wife, Erika, with whom he shared a three-year-old daughter, and a son, one.

Despite being rushed to hospital, political ally Donald Trump later confirmed that Kirk had died.
As we say, one regret Erika says she'll have to live with is that she and her husband didn't have any more children.
"We wanted to have four," she confessed. "And I was praying to God that I was pregnant when he got murdered.

"I was like, 'Oh goodness, that would be the ultimate blessing out of this catastrophe.'"
The mother-of-two - who shares Kirk's controversial conservative views on marriage, gender and sexuality - went on to advise other women to prioritise having a baby as early on as possible.
"Now when I see young couples, I tell them, 'Please, like don't put it off,'" Erika urged. "Especially if you're a young woman, don't put it off. You can always have a career. You can always go back to work.

"You can never just go back to having children, and they grow so fast and so quickly. I was praying, both of us were, we were really excited to just expand our family."
Erika's latest comments come just days after ring-wing political commentator and Kirk's former friend Candace Owens claimed she has new 'evidence' in relation to his murder that will 'change everything'.
Taking to social media last week, the 37-year-old wrote: "Today is going to be a big day. What we will present in the Charlie Kirk investigation is going to change everything. That is not an exaggeration. Nothing will be the same."
Implying something of an inside job, Owens continued: "Today on the show, we GO MAX. We find irrefutable proof that Turning Point knows more than they are telling us. Charlie was right. He knew I would be the one to defend him after death."

Owens also stated previously that foreign hands played a role in Kirk’s assassination, telling her followers that Egyptian surveillance aircrafts were involved, and that their planes had 'tracked' Kirk’s wife, planning to target Erika instead.
"Why did they keep going back to Erika?" Owens asked last week. "What is it about these Egyptian planes that was making them spiral?"
The Kirk family's own pastor previously attempted to quieten the podcaster's allegations, claiming the father-of-two 'was a friend to Candace and never spoke poorly of her though he disagreed with her' and 'he never operated nor entertained gossip or innuendo concerning Candace'.

Rob McCoy, who co-chairs the faith division of Turning Point USA added, as per The Independent: "I only wish at this tragic time of mourning she would be the friend to Charlie that he was to her.
"He would never have treated Candace or her family in such a way had God forbid this tragedy been hers."
