Trump’s attorney general gives major update on Jeffrey Epstein files amid pressure

Pam Bondi is reportedly set to share the major update later on today (27 February)

Donald Trump's attorney general has issued a major update on the Jeffrey Epstein files amid pressure from lawmakers.

Such files could potentially include Epstein's 'client list', a document believed to detail a number of high-profile names associated with the late billionaire's heinous sex crimes.

On Wednesday (26 February), Pam Bondi revealed that the US Justice Department plans to release flight logs from his private jet and 'a lot of names' related to Epstein, the financier accused of child sex trafficking who socialised with members of the Royal Family, a number of celebrities and major Wall Street players.

Epstein died by suicide in jail in 2019 aged 66 while awaiting trial on sex-trafficking charges.

"There are well over – this will make you sick – 200 victims … over 250, actually," the attorney general told Fox News host Jesse Watters explaining the delay in releasing the documents.

"So, we have to make sure that their identity is protected and their personal information, but other than that, I think tomorrow - you know, the personal information of victims - other than that, I think tomorrow, Jesse, breaking news, right now, you’re going to see some Epstein information being released by my office," Bondi added.

Confirming flight logs from the notorious sex predator's private jet would be disclosed, Bondi continued; "What you’re going to see, hopefully tomorrow, is a lot of flight logs, a lot of names, a lot, a lot of information.

"But, it’s pretty sick what that man did… along with his co-defendant."

The co-defendant in the case is Ghislaine Maxwell who was sentenced to 20 years in prison in 2022 for her role in helping Epstein abuse young girls.

In a previous interview last Friday (21 February), when asked on Fox News if the Justice Department would be releasing a list of Epstein's clients, Bondi said: "It's sitting on my desk right now to review. That's been a directive by President Trump."

Lawmakers have previously been taking to social media to pressure Bondi to release the files with Republican Representative Anna Paulina Luna wrote on X: "Reaching out on X because we can’t seem to get a response from the AG. @AGPamBondi what is the status of the documents? These documents were ordered to be declassified."

"Today would be a great day for @AGPamBondi to release the Epstein Files," Republican Representative Lauren Boebert penned: "The truth will set us free!"

And Democrat Representative Ilhan Omar added: "The AG still not releasing the EPSTEIN FILES is weird and raises the question of who she might be protecting."
