Eerie Donald Trump post resurfaces amid World War III concerns as people make same observation

The US President tweeted about Middle Eastern conflicts back in 2013

Amid the rise of tensions in the Middle East, Donald Trump has been accused of predicting World War III several years prior.

Just this week, the US President had his say on Israel's missile latest attacks upon the Iran - more specifically, the region of Tehran - which kicked off over the weekend, since which Iran have launched missiles of their own.

Since 2023, Israel has also attacked Lebanon, Yemen, and Syria as part of a mission to neutralise Tehran and its proxies.

Following his appearance at the G7 Summit, Trump - who had previously leaned towards Israel's favour during the crisis in Gaza - publicly considered the possibility of assassinating the Supreme Leader of Tehran.

Claiming his patience is 'wearing thin', he called for the Iranian Supreme Leader's 'unconditional surrender', writing on Truth Social: "We know exactly where the so-called 'Supreme Leader' is hiding.

"He is an easy target, but is safe there - We are not going to take him out (kill!), at least not for now," he said.

An Israeli military spokesperson later insisted that no cities are safe, writing on X: "Our message this morning is powerful and will resonate far and wide: There are no cities of refuge in the Middle East where our enemies can find safe haven."

Iranian officials also issued a warning following Trump's controversial statement, claiming that America's involvement in Middle Eastern battles could risk another great war.

The country's foreign minister told Al Jazerra yesterday, as per The Independent (18 Jun): "Any American intervention would be a recipe for an all-out war in the region."

As we say, however, it isn't just Trump's latest online statement that has left social media users unnerved, but a tweet he posted about 'World War III' back in 2013, which has since reemerged.

At the time, the businessman was beginning to make moves into politics, ahead of his Presidential election victory in 2016.

He tweeted on 31 August 2013: "Be prepared, there is a small chance that our horrendous leadership could unknowingly lead us into World War III."

The social media message was likely in response to the turmoil that plagued the region that year, which included the repercussions of the Arab Spring, where they were ongoing protests and violent clashes in both Egypt and Syria.

The civil war in Syria also took place that year - a conflict that involved several international actors, such as Iran, Saudi Arabia, Turkey, and the US.

2013 also saw the rise of extreme terror groups like ISIS, who control oil fields and territory in Syria and Iraq, as well as the attempted revitalisation of the Israeli-Palestinian peace process.

Naturally, therefore, with the leaders of many of these countries seemingly at loggerheads again, it's no surprise that Trump's social media statement has hit home with many, several of whom have simultaneously taken aim at the 79-year-old.

"That small chance is now HUUUGGEE," one user wrote online this week.

"Look what ur doing now," one critic hit out at the President.

A third added: "You predicted yourself motherf****r @realDonaldTrump GTFOH!!"

"August 31, 2013. Not only is Trump a pathological narcissist, he's a fortune teller too," another jibed.

"He’s a psychic," added a fifth.
