Donald Trump slams leaked Iran military strike intel in furious rant after claims he contradicted himself

The US President previously claimed Iranian nuclear bases in Fordow, Natanz and Isfahan had been 'totally obliterated'

The US President has taken aim at several local news outlets in a fiery new rant today, claiming their reports on his triple bombing of nuclear sites in Iran over their weekend are 'fake'.

Donald Trump intervened in the ongoing warfare between Israel and Iran on Sunday (22 Jun), just days after the former suddenly launched a series of missiles at the latter.

The 79-year-old dropped bombs on nuclear bases in Fordow, Natanz and Isfahan, later claiming to have 'totally obliterated' the sites.

It later emerged that Trump had acted in response to a sleeper-cell terror threat had reportedly been made by Iran.

Despite the Republican later going on to announce a ceasefire between the two fighting countries - who, unfortunately, both 'violated' it hours later by continuing to launch missiles in one another's direction - Trump's nuclear bombings of the Iranian sites were also called into question in the days that followed.

Leaked information from the Defence Intelligence Agency (DIA) suggested that the American attack might not have been as successful as Trump first implied, and that the sites had not been destroyed after all.

Which the intel confirmed that damage had been done, it alleged that the bombs had only set the nation back several months.

The leaked content also confirmed that Iran's enriched uranium was still in fact, contradicting the President's initial claims.

In response to the allegations - which were first reported on by CNN before being quoted by the New York Times - Trump had his say, slamming the journalists behind the articles.

Taking to Truth Social last night in a post he also shared on X (formerly Twitter), he claimed: "We just caught the Failing New York Times, working with Fake News CNN, cheating again!

"They tried to demean the great work our B-2 pilots did, and they were wrong in doing so."

The politician continued: "These reporters are just BAD AND SICK PEOPLE. You would think they would be proud of the great success we had, instead of always trying to make our Country look bad.

"TOTAL OBLITERATION!"

This is far from the first time that Trump has slammed these allegedly false reports this week. Appearing on the White House lawn on Tuesday (24 Jun) to address the ceasefire violations, he accused several outlets of 'misreporting' on the damage done by America's intervention.

Discussing the three bombs, Trump went on to insist: "Iran will never rebuild its nuclear bases. That place is under rocks, that place is demolished."

And just yesterday, during an appearance in The Hague for the annual NATO summit, he branded the unnamed individual that leaked the information regarding the nuclear base attack 'scum'.

Speaking to an NBC reporter at the political event, he went on to say that the US pilots 'put their lives on the line, and then they have, and I’m not referring to you, but real scum, real scum, come out and write reports that are as negative as they could possibly be'.

Trump added: "It should be the opposite. You should make them heroes and heroines."

He then name-dropped the outlets he's referring to after being asked a question by CNN's chief White House correspondent, Kaitlan Collins.

"Oh, fake news. CNN, yeah, here we go," the father-of-five spat.

After defence secretary Pete Hegseth then chimed in to describe the 'bravery' of the American pilots, during which Trump once again butted in: "And then the instinct, the instinct of CNN, the instinct of The New York Times, is to try to find a way to spin it for their own political reasons, to try to hurt president Trump or our country, they don’t care what the troops think."

He added: "They don’t care what the world thinks."
