A list of banned items for Charlie Kirk’s funeral this weekend has been revealed, as well as the penalty for anyone who shows up to the event with a bag.

On 10 September, the 31-year-old right-wing activist was shot during an event at Utah Valley University.

Suspect Tyler Robinson, a 22-year-old state native, has since appeared in court and faces seven charges, including aggravated murder and witness tampering.

Kirk’s funeral is set to take place over the weekend, with both US President Donald Trump and his Vice President JD Vance set to make speeches.

It’s previously held three Super Bowls (2008, 2015, and 2023) and can house more than 60,000 fans.

Arizona is where Kirk’s company, Turning Point USA, is headquartered and is also where he and his wife, Erika Kirk, lived with their two children before his death.

Who can attend Charlie Kirk’s funeral?

Both members of the public and high-ranking political figures can attend Kirk’s funeral over the weekend.

Guests arriving with a bag will be asked to return their bags to their vehicles and will be asked to rejoin the line from the end, as per the Fight For Charlie website.

Security protocol at Charlie Kirk's funeral

Guests arriving at the Arizona institution will be subjected to strict security measures.

These include magnetometers, which will screen all attendees and their belongings.

Physical pat-downs will only be done for those with medical exemptions, the venue has confirmed.

People who do not consent to the medical detector screening or a physical pat-down will be denied entry.

Turning Point USA warned attendees that these enhanced security measures are in place 'may result in longer wait times than usual'.

State Farm Stadium will not tolerate any behaviour that is deemed as 'unruly, disruptive, or illegal in nature'.

Anyone who is intoxicated or is showing other signs of alcohol or substance impairment that results in irresponsible behaviour will be asked to leave the premises.
