Seven years before his shock assassination, Charlie Kirk sent a text message predicting that his right-wing activism would lead to his demise, a friend has this week revealed.
The late 31-year-old Republican, who founded the conservative advocacy group Turning Point USA , was fatally shot by a single bullet fired from suspect Tyler Robinson's gun on 10 September.
At the time, Kirk was hosting a debate with students at Utah Valley University, which had been attended by over 3,000 spectators. Despite being rushed to hospital, he was pronounced dead shortly after, with President Donald Trump himself sharing the news on social media.
After Robinson's father convinced his son to turn himself in for the public assassination, police linked his DNA to that found on the trigger of the abandoned rifle discovered on the campus.

It was also found that he'd left a note under his university keyboard informing his roommate that he planned to kill Kirk, and that he'd 'confessed' to said roommate after the shooting took place.
As a result, the 22-year-old was charged with aggravated murder, as well as six other charges, including obstruction of justice and witness tampering.
As we say, however, Candace Owens - a close political ally of Kirk, who previously served as communications director of Turning Point USA - has since revealed that the father-of-two was well aware that his stance on societal values was something of an occupational hazard in itself.

In the latest episode of her podcast, Owens, 36, shared a screengrab of a text that Kirk had sent to her phone on 6 April 2018, in which he seems to allude to the potential of losing his life over his work.
In the messages, Kirk begins by telling his friend: "You are going to be the Iron Lady of America. I see it so freaking clearly. i might be Moses tho."

The professional debater then seemed to suggest his own assassination, telling Owens: "I might not see this whole thing through lmao - if that is the case, be my David!"

After Owens responded, telling her ally 'Dude you don't even realise your power yet', Kirk went on to add: "if I tell you the true prophecy I know in my gut it's really sad. But I hope it's wrong.
"Anyway I am not sure if I will live to see the end of this revolution."
As explained by Owens, Kirk then continued: "Since the beginning of TPUSA I knew in my gut that I might get wiped out at any time. I cannot explain it.
"But I dream about it all the time. Like all the time."

The controversial online star then went on to insist he wasn't fearful about his future, adding: "Not really afraid of it but I’m just telling you what I know to be true."

In the weeks since the brutal killing, the podcast host was honoured with a funeral at State Farm Stadium in Glendale, Arizona, during which both Trump and his wife Erika - who has since been made the conservative movement's new CEO - gave speeches.
The President also posthumously awarded the Kirk with the Presidential Medal of Freedom during a ceremony at the White House last month.
