Rare clip of Barron Trump as a child leaves viewers in shock at one key change

An extremely rare clip of Barron Trump at age four is circulating on social media, and viewers can't believe one major difference.

After living away from the spotlight for most of his life, despite his dad being one of the most famous people ever, Barron emerged in recent months for Donald Trump's election campaign.

Some experts have suggested that the 18-year-old had a major part to play in his father's US election victory, after advising his dad on which podcasts he should feature on.

Republicans in America are obsessed with the 6ft 9in New York University student, who is currently attending the highly-regarded attending business school.

However, viewers of a resurfaced clip were stunned to see footage of the teenager when he was just four years old.

Barron sounds extremely different to how we have heard him in recent months, with an American accent like his dad.

However, in the clip, the four-year-old has a Slovenian accent - taking after his mum, Melania Trump.

The footage showed the little one getting ready for school.

Speaking with a thick Slovenian accent, he said: "I have to go to school now?"

Melania replied: "Yes, first you will have lunch and then you'll go to school."

Users were shocked by the accent, taking to social media to share their thoughts.

One viewer said: "He sounds like his mom. You can tell she was a very involved mother."

Another said: "Did Barron speak with a Slovenian accent even though he was born and raised in New York because of Melania? That's pretty funny."

A third applauded the mum-of-one, adding: "She had all the money in the world to pass him off to a nanny, but she spent so much time with him that he sounded like her instead of anyone else in his life."

In an interview with Larry King in 2010, Melania revealed that her son could speak 'three languages'.

Donald added: "I think it's great, smart one."

Fascination with the teenager peaked after he stood next to his father while the now-President-elect announced he would become the 47th president of the United States.

In his victory speech, Trump said: "Every citizen, I will fight for you, for your family and your future. Every single day, I will be fighting for you.

"And with every breath in my body, I will not rest until we have delivered the strong, safe and prosperous America that our children deserve and that you deserve.
