Fans of the 44th United States President have rallied together today (4 August) in agreement on one thing.
Taking to social media, many wished politician Barack Obama a very happy birthday, and all went on to make the same point online.
For those in need of a reminder, Obama served in the White House for eight years, after previously working as a senator representing the state of Illinois.
In 2008, he won the presidential election - becoming the first African-American man to do so - against Republican candidate John McCain. Four years later, the father-of-two secured victory again, this time against right-leaning opponent Mitt Romney.

Throughout the duration of his service in the Oval Office, Obama made record investments in both education initiatives and environmental research, implemented the Affordable Care Act - which increased health insurance coverage through subsidised exchanges and Medicaid expansion - and achieved the Nobel Peace Prize through his reorientation of numerous foreign political policies.
Since handing the keys to the White House over to Donald Trump in 2017, the former president has remained politically active - having campaigned for candidates in various American elections, including his ex-VP Joe Biden in 2020 - and is now a best-selling author.
Naturally, Obama's colossal achievements have solidified his position as one of the most widely-adored politicians of his age - hence why so many of his fans flocked to X to wish him a happy birthday.

In doing so, however, many learned just how old he actually is - and by the sounds of things, it's left them mind-blown.
If you can believe it, Obama celebrates his 64th birthday today.

Responding, one social media user admitted they're unable to fathom just how young he must have been when he took to office (he was 47).

"The last time he was president was when he was 55 time flies," they wrote.
A second went on to jibe: "WTF - dude was president like 30 years ago."
"He honestly doesn’t look 64," a third gushed. "Crazy to think he’s already/only 64."
Another penned: "Hard to believe bro is 15 years younger than trump yet last served a decade ago…"

Interestingly, however, despite being in his late 40s, Obama isn't the youngest man to hold America's most powerful position.
In fact, there have been four former presidents who were younger than him when they took office.
In 1901, Theodore Roosevelt became the youngest president, aged just 42. He is closely followed by Mr JFK himself, who was just 43 when he stepped foot into the Oval Office in 1961.

Next up is Bill Clinton, who was 46 when inaugurated in 1993, and Ulysses S. Grant, who was 46 when he secured the presidency in 1869.
At the other end of the spectrum, being the oldest politician to rule the White House, is current right-wing leader, Donald Trump, who was a staggering 78 years old when inaugurated back in January. Biden was the same age when elected in 2020 (though Trump was a few months older).
The third oldest, bizarrely, is Trump once again, who was 70 during his first term in 2017.
