Patrick Clancy admits he still talks to three children killed by ex-wife Lindsay Clancy and reveals what he says to them

Patrick Clancy has spoken out for the first time after his ex-wife Lindsay Clancy’s trial ended in a mistrial earlier this month.

The 36-year-old, who has since remarried Dr Rachel Danis, is telling his story in an interview with 60 Minutes, which is due to air on Sunday (20 September).

In the run-up to the weekend, the programme has been sharing snippets of their conversation, including a heartbreaking video of Clancy revealing he still speaks to his late children all the time.

Cora, five, Dawson, three, and eight-month-old Callan were killed by their mother, Lindsay Clancy, on 24 January, 2023.

In proceedings that lasted nearly six weeks, Clancy’s defence argued that she could not be held criminally responsible for the children’s deaths because she was allegedly suffering from postpartum psychosis at the time. However, prosecutors argued that she acted ‘intentionally’ and ‘rationally’.

On 4 September, the Massachusetts trial ended in a mistrial when the jury could not reach a unanimous verdict on whether Clancy was guilty of murder.

In the new clip shared by 60 Minutes on social media, Patrick revealed he still asks his late children for help.

He admitted: “I talk to them,” and when asked what he says, he devastatingly responded that he asks, “Help me. All of the time."

His new wife, Dr Rachel Danis, whom he married in April 2026, also appears in the interview with him, and in a separate clip, called her husband ‘the most selfless father’ and ‘supportive partner’.

She said: "I don't understand how the story has been so twisted. But I would hope people know that Pat is, as I said before, the most selfless father and supportive partner.

“I was just a girl that met a guy running in Central Park on a really cold Saturday. And I don't think there's anything wrong with that."

Clancy had sent Patrick to run an errand when she killed their children and attempted to take her own life.

When he got back to their property, he found his wife in the backyard and called 911, before entering the home and realising the children had been strangled.

While the trial was ongoing, horrific conspiracy theories and rumors surfaced, claiming that Patrick was somehow involved in the deaths.

Howard Cooper, an attorney at Todd & Weld who represents Patrick, released a statement hitting back at the cruel claims earlier this month.

As per PEOPLE Magazine, he said: “Over the past months, Patrick Clancy and his family have been subjected to a relentless, escalating and destructive defamation campaign.

"This campaign of misinformation has been launched and promoted by minor celebrities, so-called influencers and outright conspiracy theorists who appear intent on boosting their own social media profiles and potential profit by publishing what they know to be outright falsehoods that Patrick was somehow involved in the death of his young children and other vile claims.”

The legal team said that ‘enough is enough’ and police had been notified about the ‘baseless falsehoods,’ adding that Patrick has faced ‘real life threats to his reputation, livelihood, and life,’ as a result.
