With 2025 drawing to a close, people around the world are setting New Year's resolutions and looking ahead to make plans for 2026.
And as for the spiritual believers among us, they might be looking to prophecies of the late mystics Nostradamus and Baba Vanga for a sneak peek into what the next year will hold.
Although the Bulgarian mystic died in 1996, her eerily accurate predictions have lived on, and she has since become a prominent figure among conspiracy theorists, as has French astrologer Nostradamus, who lived in the 1500s and issued his prophecies in the form of poems and riddles.
Nostradamus is credited with foreseeing the rise of Adolf Hitler, the Great Fire of London, the Kennedy assassination, and the Hiroshima and Nagasaki Bombs.

But, his followers have pointed out that there are still a number of this year's predictions that are yet to be ticked off the list - some of which are probably best proven wrong.
In particular, people are beginning to panic that one of his most famous prophecies concerning mankind's destruction could materialise, which wouldn't be ideal.
Well, it looks like we could be in for yet more warfare and conflict and a meteor striking Earth, all in the last quarter of 2025.
Nostradamus, who laid out his prophecies in the form of poems, wrote: "When those from the lands of Europe, see England set up her throne behind. Her flanks, there will be cruel wars.
"The kingdom will be marked by wars so cruel, foes from within and without will arise. A great pestilence from the past returns, no enemy more deadly under the skies."
He reportedly added: "From the cosmos, a fireball will rise, A harbinger of fate, the world pleads. Science and fate in a cosmic dance, The fate of the Earth, a second chance."
On the theme of politics, he prophesied 'a decrease in the influence of established Western countries and the emergence of new world powers'.
He also warned that he believes 'great powers will clash'.
However, it's not all negative as he also forecasted the 'end of a long war', which experts believe could reference the conflict between Russia and Ukraine.
He wrote: "Through long war all the army exhausted, so that they do not find money for the soldiers; instead of gold or silver, they will come to coin leather, Gallic brass, and the crescent sign of the Moon."
Make of that what you will!
And that's not all that's forecasted for the end of the year, as people are concerned that one of Baba Vanga's prophecies could come true on Friday (5 December).
One of her 2025 predictions was that extra-terrestrial life would make contact with the Earth for the first time during a 'major sporting event' - and believers think it could be the FIFA World Cup 2026 draw in Washington DC.
According to MailOnline, the mystic specifically foresaw a UFO appearing 'new light in the sky' over the event, apparently allowing humanity to meet extraterrestrials for the first time and 'bringing the world answers instead of fear'.
She allegedly said that people from around the world would be able to see it unfold, but failed to specify which event it would take place at.
By the sound of things, humanity will be lucky to make it to 2026!
