Several psychics have made the same eerie prediction for this year

We're less than a whole week into 2026, and there are already murmurs of mystic predictions coming true.

In 2025, several psychics and prophets, both dead and alive, weighed in with what they foresaw happening within the next twelve months.

The late Baba Vanga and Nostradamus left behind their prophecies, while newer figures like Athos Salomé and Jill M Jackson have come forward with fresh predictions.

And it looks like all four of them have one forecast in common for this year - unfortunately, it's not a very positive one.

The quartet of mystics have issued warnings of war and escalating conflict for this year, which we're already beginning to see with US President Donald Trump's abduction of Venezuelan leader Nicolás Maduro.

Trump ordered US forces to capture Maduro and his wife, Cilia Flores, on Saturday (3 January) and is holding them on charges of 'narco-terrorism'.

While this is not exactly war, people are worried it could be the beginning of more global conflict - so what have the prophets said?

Baba Vanga

Bulgarian seer Baba Vanga thinks we could be in for more worldwide conflict, which could escalate into a third World War.

For those unfamiliar, she was a Bulgarian prophet and healer who lived between 1911 and 1996 and claimed to have foreseen the future.

Her followers have credited her with predicting a whole host of world events, such as the death of Diana, Princess of Wales and the election of Barack Obama as US President.

As per Sky History, in 2025, she predicted the beginning of the 'downfall of humanity', and for 2026, believers think this could transform into a wider escalation of conflict across the globe in general.

But, Baba Vanga also officially predicted the world will end in 5079, so it's not all bad I guess.

Nostradamus sees more conflict on the cards for 2026 (Chat GPT)

Nostradamus echoed this prediction and also foresaw more conflict this year.

Real name Michel de Nostredame, Nostradamus was a French astrologer and psychic who died in 1566, though his eerily accurate predictions have lived on throughout the years.

He predicted: "Seven months great war, people dead through evil / Rouen, Evreux the King will not fail."

Sky History reports that enthusiasts have spotlighted it as a prediction to watch, given the current conflict between Russia and Ukraine.

While some have interpreted this as meaning the conflict between the two countries could escalate, others have likened it to World War III.

However, it's important to note that the place names 'Rouen' and 'Evreux' are rooted in 16th-century French geography.

Athos Salomé

The 'Living Nostradamus,' real name Athos Salomé, also highlighted two points of conflict he thinks could play out this year - taking place in the Sahel in Africa and the Arctic Circle.

He told Tyla: “With the rise of extremist groups in northern regions of Niger, I believe that the area could become a scene of indirect confrontation between nations seeking to preserve their influence after the departure of Western troops.

As for the Arctic Circle, he added: “The most recent interceptions indicate that Russia is moving missile systems to strategic areas in the Arctic. This increases the likelihood of direct confrontations with NATO during the ice melt in 2026, a time when new shipping routes and energy reserves could play a crucial role."

And finally, he predicts more 'tension' between Iran and Israel, adding: "With Iran progressing in its uranium enrichment process and Israel preparing for possible military intervention, I warn that the Middle East region could experience a new period of tension in the second quarter of 2026."

Jill M Jackson

Finally, psychic medium Jill M. Jackson has warned that a 'lot of changes are coming' and we need to 'prepare'.

Speaking about Venezuela specifically, as per The Express, she said it's an 'interesting dynamic', and she can 'sadly feel that escalating,' but also said she 'feels like that fizzles out mid-2026 or so.

She added: "But I do feel like, Jeff, that it continues into 2026. I feel like we're going to see some major conflict and a world conflict, actually, in certain places."

And as for the world's current conflicts like Ukraine-Russia, Jill sees these 'wars will continuing for several more years'.
