Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have released a previously unseen video of their son Archie to celebrate his first birthday.

The adorable clip shows Meghan reading the book Duck! Rabbit to birthday boy Archie and was captured on behalf of children's charity Save The Children UK.

The video forms part of the charity's #SaveWithStories campaign to bring food and learning resources to children impacted by the coronavirus pandemic.

Little Archie turns one today and has received birthday messages from all over the world.

Save The Children said: "Happy Birthday, Archie!

"Thank you #DuchessMeghan for helping us to raise urgent funds for our coronavirus appeal by reading "Duck! Rabbit" by @akrfoundation, illustrated by @tlichtenheld (published by @chroniclekidsbooks).

"As the world grapples with the coronavirus pandemic, children's lives are being turned upside down. By donating to Save with Stories, you can support the most vulnerable families in the UK and around the world by helping to provide early learning packs, supermarket vouchers, essential household items and virus protection."

To support the campaign the public can donate today by visiting the Save The Children UK website or text STORIES to 70008 to give a one-off donation of £5.

Footage of Archie has not been shared to the Sussex Royal Instagram account since last December, when a mega-cute video compilation of 2019 highlights was released.

The Duke and Duchess released the festive video to wish their followers a happy new year and thank them for their 'continued support', saying, "We've loved meeting so many of you from around the world and can't wait to meet many more of you next year."

Meghan and Harry made the decision to resign their official 'HRH' titles in January, before relocating with Archie to Vancouver, Canada.

Less than two months later, the family left their new home and moved to Los Angeles, amid the coronavirus crisis.

The move reportedly took place after the couple's final royal appearances in London, which included the annual Commonwealth Service at Westminster Abbey on Commonwealth Day, alongside the Queen and members of The Royal Family.

While the family's move to Tinseltown has been linked to Meghan re-establishing herself in the Hollywood scene (she's reportedly working on a docuseries with Oprah) the couple have been concentrating their efforts on COVID-19 relief.

According to People, Meghan, Harry and Archie "have been living in a secluded compound" and leave their home "only for charity work".

The title reported that the pair has "stepped out three separate times to work alongside Project Angel Food, helping deliver meals to immunocompromised individuals in the area."

Since the coronavirus outbreak, Meghan and Harry have been using their Sussex Royal Insta feed to share "information and resources to help all of us navigate the uncertainty."

The couple shared that they would be "posting accurate information and facts from trusted experts" that would help with "learning about measures we can take to keep ourselves and our families healthy" and "support our mental and emotional well-being."

Happy lockdown birthday, Archie!
