An inquest into the death of Caroline Flack has revealed the TV presenter left a note to her boyfriend, Lewis Burton, before she took her own life.

Caroline tragically passed away earlier this year in February. An inquest into her death resumed today after six months and heard from a number of witnesses including paramedics.

One of the crew pointed to a handwritten note placed on the coffee table inside Caroline's flat.

It is believed to have referenced "Lewis" and stated: "I hope one day me and Lewis can find harmony."

The first witness statement today came from Stephen Teasdale, the father of Caroline's friend, Louise. He went to Caroline's flat after her sister Jody said she could not get inside.

He said: "We came to the flat and tried to force entry. We thought about phoning the police but knew the landlady... We got the key and let ourselves into the flat."

Inside, he found Caroline's body.

"I brought her [down] and Jody started CPR. We were giving CPR for somewhere between five and ten minutes, then the police took over."

The inquest also heard from Dr Tamsin Lewis, a psychiatrist who had been treating Caroline.

She said: "Her mood appeared low, anxious" and added that Caroline had said she said she was "very worried" and had a "sense of impending doom".

She said Caroline did not admit to suicidal thoughts but said she had been drinking excessively. A post-mortem found no traces of alcohol, just zopiclone, which is used for insomnia - but levels were not fatal.

Pathologist Professor Michael Sheaff found Caroline died from hanging.

Caroline, aged 40 at the time of her death, was due to appear in court after being charged with allegedly assaulting her boyfriend, Lewis Burton - something both parties denied.

Lewis, 27, and Caroline, were banned from speaking to one another ahead of her trial. Lewis did not want to press charges but the trial went ahead.
