A Collectable 'Toy Story 4' 50p Coin Commemorating Woody Has Been Released

Thousands of coin collectors scrabbled to buy new Peter Pan coins coins earlier this month in the hope they could be worth hundreds of pounds.

And now fans can get their hands on everybody's favourite cowboy, Woody, in coin form to mark the release of Toy Story 4, which hit screens on Friday (21^st June).

Produced under official Disney license, the coin, which celebrates one of animations most beloved characters (voiced by Tom Hanks) is fully plated in .999 Silver and weighs eight grams.

The coin, which is 28.5mm in diameter, costs 50p plus postage and packaging from The Koin Club.

But fans of the film franchise would want to be quick as the collectors' item is limited to one per person.

The fourth and final flick sees Woody, Buzz and the rest of the gang embark on a road trip with Bonnie and a new toy named Forky.

The adventurous journey turns into an unexpected reunion as Woody's detour leads him to long-lost pal Bo Peep, when they realise they want very different things from life as a toy.

The news comes in the wake of the launch of the world's first Peter Pan fifty pence coins.

It was revealed earlier this month that there are six-coin designs to choose from, each dedicated to an important character in the book: fans can choose between Peter Pan, Captain Hook, Tick-Tock the Crocodile, Tinkerbell, Wendy and Nana or a flying design on their 50p coins.

The coins have been created as part of a partnership between distributor of collectable stamps and coins The Westminster Collection and Great Ormond Street Hospital.

The launch celebrates 90 years since Peter Pan author J.M. Barrie gifted all future rights of the book to the hospital.

The coins, which start from £6.25 and cost £37.50 for the set of six, are already in hot demand, with thousands of people in the queue to buy them online.

They each come featuring a quote from the book and an illustration by David Wyatt from the Oxford University Press edition of Peter Pan and are each presented in official Peter Pan packaging.
