Mrs Hinch has revealed her son Ronnie has been rushed to hospital in an ambulance.

The influencer updated her four million Instagram followers after apologising for 'radio silence'.

Mrs Hinch, whose real name is Sophie Hinchcliffe, said her eldest son, three, was taken to hospital with a mystery illness after his temperature spiked.

The 33-year-old's child was originally taken to A&E as a precautionary measure when his neck began swelling up.

Mrs Hinch wrote to her followers last night (11 June) on an Instagram story: "Everything just seems like a fog right now. Ron’s temp spiked to over 40 and his neck was swelling, limited head movements. I couldn’t keep meds or fluids in him."

After they were taken to A&E, they were given antibiotics and sent back home but the mum-of-two said it didn't feel right, with her 'gut telling her no'.

Hinchcliffe then decided to ring 111, leading them being taken back to hospital and Ronnie 'thankfully being admitted'.

"Since having IV antibiotics we are seeing a really really slow improvement but we will be in here for a little longer yet, as we need to get his temperature satisfactory and need the antibiotics to kick in," she wrote.

"Absolutely nothing prepares you for something like this does it. Just being on a children’s ward, seeing so many innocent little arms bandaged with cannulas. I just can’t comprehend the whole thing."

Mrs Hinch explained her reasoning for sharing this update with her followers as she 'shares so much of her life on here, the good and the bad' and thanked them for their messages, reassuring she hasn't 'vanished'.

She said: "Enjoy this beautiful sunshine, the fresh air, everything. What I would give to be back home with all my boys. Lots of love to you all and catch up very soon."

Mrs Hinch shared the update with her followers on Instagram.

Hinchcliffe also added a sweet aside to her son's reaction to the situation, writing: "Ron smiled away in the ambulance, loved seeing all the buttons and wires and now thinks his cannula is his own little wire of magic."

Her announcement comes after fans noticed she hasn't posted to her main feed since 3 June - with her last post being a birthday post for the family's three alpacas, which fans called the 'best thing' they've ever seen.

Mrs Hinch shares Ronnie with husband Jamie Hinchcliffe, whom she married in 2018, as well as two-year-old Lennie.
