Khloe Kardashian refuses to let Tristan Thompson pay for daughter's birthday party

Khloe Kardashian refuses to let Tristan Thompson pay for daughter's birthday party

If, like us, you go krazy for the Kardashians, you’ll know that in the most recent episode (it aired on 3 November), the family celebrated the fourth birthday of Khloe Kardashian and Tristan Thompson’s daughter True.

Tristan wasn’t at the kitten-themed bash as he had a basketball game that day, but the he was certainly there in spirit.

At one point in the episode, Kris Jenner told Khloe that her ex had offered to pay for True’s party, but Khloe wasn’t amused by the offer.

Kris told her daughter: “Tristan called me and he said that he privately went ahead and took care of the whole party,” to which Khloe replied: “That's nice but I won't let that happen.”

Kris insisted that the Good American co-founder let Tristan go ahead with the gesture, saying: “He was so excited to do it. You should let him do that. He wanted to do that for her for her birthday,” but Khloe was having none of it.

“And I'm so excited that I could do it all by myself,” she defiantly told her mum.

Speaking in a separate confessional, Khloe added: "I work really hard to do elaborate things for True and I don't need anyone's help."

Khloe also revealed in the episode that she wasn’t sure how she’d have felt if Tristan had been in attendance.

In the episode, which was filmed back in April, Khloe confessed she hadn’t seen Tristan since before Christmas.

In December 2021, Tristan welcomed a baby boy with Maralee Nichols, who famously filed a paternity lawsuit against him.

Khloe opened up: “I don't know if Tristan was here today, if that would add more stress to me.

"We do co-parent really well but I haven't seen Tristan in person since before Christmas time."

Of course, since True’s birthday was filmed, Khloe and Tristan have since welcomed another child - a baby boy - via surrogate.

Khloe’s decision not to let Tristan pay for their daughter’s birthday party was quickly applauded on Twitter, with one person writing: “Ok but Khloe shutting down Tristan's attempt to pay for True's party? Queen s**t.”

Another person added: “Khloe’s message about Tristan paying for the party isn’t to be bitter, what she is saying is I put in this work, planning, and money. If you want to do something for Tru, YOU put in the effort.”

“Not Khloe saying her baby daddy can’t pay for her party! That would be ME. Don’t do ANYTHINGGGGG FOR MEEEE. I am good, I got it,” tweeted a third social media user.
