An iPhone user has issued a warning to people who use the smartphone's calculator app.

The Apple customer shared the message in a TikTok video that has been viewed more than 670,000 times since it was posted earlier this month.

The short video clip shows a person’s face underneath a long block of text which reads: "Y'all please remember to clear your CALCULATOR history every once in a while... My bf just saw mine and I would have rather him gone thru my internet history."

We didn't even know that the iPhone's calculator stored a history but it doesn't seem like that much of a big deal to be completely honest.

That is, unless you're using it to solve really basic equations that you're too lazy to work out yourself of course.

Embarrassed TikToker @jeffersonjohn14 captioned the video: "3+8??????"

But it seems she's not the only one with a mortifying track record on the app.

One person took to the comments to write: "As a math major, having 100x2 in my calculator history is just embarrassing."

Another commented: "I just checked mine and the last one was 15x2. Why am I like this?"

"Damn mine really said 18-3," shared a third.

And a fourth said: "I really had 3+2 in there... HELP."

Meanwhile a fifth horrified user wrote: "This is how I found out there is a calculator history. Nobody needs to see that, thank you."

Although another user justified any seemingly stupid searches, joking: "I'm just checking that it's still the answer and it hasn't changed."

Here's how to check you haven't embarrassed yourself too much.

If you have iOS 18, open the Calculator app and tap the menu button in the upper left corner of your screen. This will bring up your calculation history.

And, if what you see is far too mortifying to risk someone else discovering, wikiHow has shared how to delete it.

"Tapping and and holding one of your previous calculations will bring up a new menu. Select from Copy Expression (which will copy the expression you entered to do the calculation, Copy Result (to copy just the answer) or Delete.

"If you wanted to delete multiple past calculations, tap Edit at the top right corner of the main history menu. Then, select any results you want to delete or tap 'Delete All' at the bottom to completely clear your history. Tap Done when you're finished."
