A Spanish influencer has been labelled 'vile' after she posted a video of herself laughing at her dad's housekeeper picking up her dog's poo.

In the now-deleted post that was originally shared earlier this week, Gloria Camilla Ortega is on a walk with one of her pet dogs and her housekeeper.

And as any responsible dog owner should, she cleans up after her dog... only it's her housekeeper picking up the poop.

To make matters even worse, the 27-year-old influencer then appears to mock her while she's doing her job.

"How does it feel, Marina," she asks her employee who is reaching down and picking up the faeces.

"A bit warm," Marina replies honestly.

Ortega replies 'very good' instructing her to keep going because there is more to collect and can then be heard laughing before the video ends.

The video did not go down well with the influencer's 840K followers, who leapt to Marina's defence and labeled Ortega 'vile', 'narcissistic' and 'trashy'.

The video got Ortega some backlash.

She took the video down before responding to the backlash.

In an Instagram post shared on Thursday (25 May), which included herself and Marina smiling, Ortega wrote in Spanish that the comments about Marina had become 'unbearable' and denied being 'classist'.

She insisted that it was her critics who were the ones actually looking down on Marina.

Ortega said: “The first classists are you. If I had done it with another person, friend or someone who did not ‘work for my father’ you would have taken it differently.”

She then claimed that the pair share a sense of humour and that she is, in fact, 'much more than a housekeeper'.

The influencer responded to the backlash on Instagram.

She also said how Marina was like a 'second mother' to her after Ortega's adopted mother, singer Rocío Jurado, passed away due to cancer in 2006.

“Marina is family, Marina is love, Marina is joy, she is my handkerchief, and she is like a second mother to me and I love her very much. And only those who know us know that.” she said.

The comment section was still divided, however.

One person said: “People are very bored. Those of us who follow you know that Marina is a part of your family.”

Another agreed, saying: "Don't mind them Gloria Camila. They don't give up anymore. I know what Marina means to you and your family. I love it. Looks like a very good person and very loyal."

While others weren't convinced, as one person said: "How little humility you have."

And a second said: "I would never do that not even with my family, it's called education, respect, values etc."
