Lidl Is Selling Gin-Infused Cheese For Christmas And We Are Drooling

Our two favourite things!

'Tis the season for tucking into a generous cheese board of the tastiest, creamiest camembert, washed down with a delicious tipple or two.

Now Lidl have stepped up to the plate (quite literally) with a combination of the two: a deliciously smooth, gin-infused Wensleydale. Yes please.

Described as "supple and crumbly" in texture, the cheese is given an extra flavoursome kick with the addition of Lidl's iconic Hortus gin.

For a festive twist, the Wensleydale is studded with dried fruits, giving little nuggets of sweetness in every mouthful, rather like a chutney would.

If a gin and Wensleydale combo doesn't butter your cracker, there's also the Christmas Tree Smoked Cheddar, a bold and mature cheddar flavoured with the woodiness of Nordic pine and a soft smoky flavour.

Presented in gorgeous forest green wax casing, it's a real showstopper, and the ideal centrepiece for those Christmas Day cheeseboards.

No festive cheese selection would be complete without a stunning melt-in-the-mouth option, and this Deluxe Large Baking Camembert for (£5.99) will impress your guests and feed the whole family.

Available with additions of chorizo, fig, maple and pecan, it's the dream with fresh crusty bread.

With all that cheese, you'll be wanting some chutney. Lidl's Deluxe Fig and Balsamic Chutney (£1.19) gets our vote - sweet, tangy, and a tasty alternative to the usual caramelised onion options.

From the same range comes a luscious Apple & Pear chutney - great for cutting through the cheese with a refreshing fruity tang - as well as a Christmas Spiced option laced with clove and cinnamon.

Not forgetting the crackers. We love Lidl's Rivercoat multigrain crackers, which have an satisfying snap and crisp texture, and cost just £69 per box.

All of Lidl's festive cheeses are available in store now.

Now all we need is a bottle of wine or three. Sweet dreams really are made of cheese.
