England fans are clinging to every possible sign that football really is coming home after 60 long years - and one astrologer reckons the stars could finally be on the Three Lions' side.
A win on Wednesday night (15 Jul) will secure England a one-way ticket to the 2026 FIFA World Cup final on Sunday, where they'll either take on France or Spain, depending on who comes out on top in their semis tonight.
The final will provide Harry Kane's team with their best opportunity in 60 years to finally 'end the hurt' and bag themselves a major trophy. England last walked away as World Cup victors in 1966, when they defeated West Germany 4–2 in the final to clinch their first, and so far only, title.
Apparently, however, there's a key astrological significance in the fact it's been exactly six decades since their last win.

Chloe Smith, a UK-based medium and social media astrologer, correctly pointed out that when Bobby Moore led his team to victory all those years ago, it was during a Fire Horse year.
This describes a rare combination that occurs only once every 60 years in the Chinese zodiac. As such, it occurred in 1906, 1966, and now, 2026.
It is celebrated as a highly dynamic, ambitious, and fast-paced period, given that, in the Chinese calendar, the horse represents action, independence, speed, and unyielding perseverance. When fused with the Fire element, the zodiac's inherent power is doubled, creating a fiery momentum, allegedly fuelling innovation, leadership, and bold decisions.
In a post that has since gone viral online, Smith explained exactly this.

"The Chinese Zodiac runs on a 60-year cycle that combines 12 animal signs with 5 elements," she wrote on Instagram. "1966: The year England won its first and only World Cup was a Fire Horse year. 2026: Exactly 60 years later, the Fire Horse makes its rare return.
"Because of this 60-year alignment, the 2026 World Cup lands precisely on the same zodiac sign as 1966."
Smith's popular post has since gained mass traction across the snap sharing app, with England supporters taking to the comments to declare their hope for another momentous victory.
"I really believe it’s going to be this year," one user gushed.
Another wrote: "There is something really strange about this year - I feel it - now even more so you have said this."

"We deserve this for real it’s been 60 years man," a third went on.
A fourth gushed: "Year of the f*****g horse baby. It’s coming home."
