Charlie Kirk's wife, Erika, shared a Bible verse about seeking help from God during 'trouble', just hours before her husband was shot dead.
The 31-year-old right-wing activist and CEO of conservative youth organisation Turning Point USA was killed in Utah yesterday (10 September).
Kirk was hit by a single gunshot fired from a distant rooftop at the Utah Valley University campus, where he was speaking at a debate event.
And now, a massive manhunt is under way to find the person who assassinated the podcaster, who was also a close ally of President Donald Trump.

Today (11 September) federal, state and local authorities said they are working on 'multiple active crime scenes' and Utah Governor Spencer Cox has labelled the killing a 'political assassination'.

Tragically, the activist's wife, Erika Kirk, and their two young children are reported to have joined him at the event where he lost his life.
Before it was announced that the shooting was fatal, as per the BBC, Oklahoma Senator Markwayne Mullin posted on Twitter: "Pray for [Kirk] his wife Erika, their two children, and all who were present at Utah Valley University."

And fans of the couple have noticed that Erika's last post on Twitter before the tragedy was a Psalm from the Bible about 'help in trouble'.
It was posted at 10:45am, (5:45pm BST). Kirk was short less than two hours later at roughly 12:20pm local time (7:20pm BST).
The message read: "Psalm 46:1 - God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble."
Mourners have now used the foreboding social media post to express their condolences to the family.

One user wrote: "The fact that you posted this before the event, is a testament of the Lord."

A second penned: "All of America is broken with you. I am so so sorry for your loss."
And a third added: "May the Lord Jesus give you strength. We are praying for you and your family."

Another commented: "We love you, Erika, and are praying for you and your dear children. We are so sorry."
Immediately before the incident, Kirk was taking questions from an audience member about mass shootings and gun violence.
"Do you know how many transgender Americans have been mass shooters over the last 10 years?" someone in the crowd asked, to which he responded: "Too many."
The questioner continued: "Do you know how many mass shooters there have been in America over the last 10 years?"

"Counting or not counting gang violence?" Kirk asked. Then a single shot rang out.
After his security team rushed to his aid, Kirk was transported to hospital, while event attendees were ordered by police to flee the campus immediately in fear that the shooter was still active.
Trump announced Kirk’s death on Truth Social and praised his ally as 'great, and even legendary,' before blaming the rhetoric of the 'radical left' for the killing.
He later released a lengthy video message where he described the death as a 'dark day for America'.
