Love Island star Malin Andersson has shared a heartfelt poem following the tragic news that her one-month-old baby girl, Consy, died on Tuesday.
Malin posted a famous poem by Amy Farquhar called 'Little Butterfly' to her Instagram story. The poem is written from the perspective of a child who has passed away reassuring their parents they they will always be with them.
The poem starts off by saying, 'I lived my life inside you, cocooned in all your love. So mama, papa please don't cry. I'm still with you, just up above'.
It continues, 'I felt your every heartbeat. It's my sweetest melody. And for every heavenly bedtime, the angels play it back to me.
'I know how very much I'm wanted, I feel so very blessed. Of all the mummy's in the world, I got the very best [sic]'.
The poem tells that the parents that the child is still with them, but they are the brightest star in the sky, a little breeze in summer, and an unexpected white feather.
Tributes have poured in from Malin's celebrity friends and adoring fans since she shared the heartbreaking news that her first child with boyfriend Tom Kemp had died after being born seven weeks prematurely.
Malin had called the baby girl Consy after her late mother who died in 2017 from breast cancer. Her father died from skin cancer after battling the disease twice.
"Completely in love with you.. and my Mum just wanted you to be with her," Malin wrote yesterday. "Your time wasn't ready yet. Mummy loves you. I stayed with you each day.. you opened your eyes one last time for me and I saw those beautiful big brown eyes. I'm so sorry I couldn't do anymore. Go be with grandma Consy. My angel. Rest in peace."
Little Consy was born just before Christmas, and Malin announced her arrival on New Year's Day, adding that she was being cared for in Great Ormond Street Children's Hospital.
