A woman was left shocked when she was approached by a male attendant on her flight and told that her outfit of choice was 'too revealing'.

Love Island Australia star Amelia Marni told her followers on social media how she was left rather confused by the exchange, sharing a close-up photo of her outfit to her Instagram Stories.

Amelia shared that she felt she had been 's**t shamed' for simply wearing a black crop top and a pair of khaki trousers on her flight.

Taking to her Instagram Stories over the weekend, the 25-year-old posed in her airport attire, writing: "We love a s**t shame moment...

"A male flight attendant just told me to cover up and my clothing was too revealing. I can't wear this and it's inappropriate to wear on Jetstar. NEVER heard of this...

"Babe crop tops is my BRANDDDDD."

She followed it up with a screenshot taken from Jetstar's own website, in which they detail what would be considered 'offensive clothing'.

The description read: "Please refrain from wearing any clothing or carrying personal items that display words, images, symbols or slogans that may reasonably be deemed offensive."

Captioning the screenshot, Amelia wrote: "Literally the only thing I could find... We love a man abusing his authority."

Tyla has reached out to Jetstar for a comment.

Amelia made a name for herself on the 2018 season of Love Island Australia and now boasts an impressive 340,000 followers on Instagram.

Amelia emerged from the show with fellow contestant Josh Moss on her arm and, up until recently, they were the only couple to stay together after the show.

The reality star revealed just this week, Amelia shared that she and Josh had decided to go their separate ways, assuring fans that the pair were 'on incredible terms (for a breakup)' and only wanted the best for one another.

Sharing the news on Monday, she wrote: "I don't know if this comes as a shock because I think we portrayed a happy healthy relationship. And it was that for most of the part, but there was also a lot of challenging moments we didn't share.

"No relationship is perfect but there are some parts you have to see eye-to-eye. Josh and I are on incredible terms (for a breakup) and we want the happiest life for one another.

"But sadly right now we have to find happiness separately. Of course I love Josh and will miss our crazy special life together but right now this is the best for us both."
