An American couple have been left in tears after spotting a major typo on a Trump-themed watch that cost them a small fortune.
Tim Petit, who hails from Rhode Island, spent a whopping $640 on the piece of limited-edition bling as a present for his wife, Melanie.
The pair were clearly extra buzzing to receive the item - which Tim ordered after hearing an ad for it on the radio - given the fact that is was only one of just 250 which were made.
However, the excitement soon turned to misery after he clocked a pretty noticeable spelling mistake on the watch face which kind of defeated the whole point of the Trump-themed piece of wrist-wear.
Instead of reading out 'TRUMP' on the watch face, it actually read out 'RUMP' - not ideal if you're a massive MAGA head wanting to flash your allegiance to the 78-year-old Republican every instance someone asks you for the time.
"I just thought it was really nice," Tim told NBC 10 WJAR when speaking on his decision to purchase the pink Inauguration First Lady model watch. "It was beautiful. And I knew it would be something that she’d like."
"One of 250. So that attracted me," he added.
Trump can be seen in video ads for the website saying: "It’s Trump time."
"With the president’s voice hawking the watches," Tim went on, "I was curious, so I went on to the website."
A Rhode Island man bought a $640 'RUMP' watch for his wife (NBC) Explaining that he purchased the item from Trump Watches - a website which calls its products the 'official watches of President Trump'.
The website states: "Trump Watches are not designed, manufactured, distributed or sold by Donald J. Trump, The Trump Organization or any of their respective affiliates or principals. "TheBestWatchesonEarth LLC uses the 'Trump' name, image and likeness under a paid license agreement which may be terminated or revoked according to its terms."
It adds: "These watches are not political and have nothing to do with any political campaign."
Melanie admitted that she liked the style of the watch but immediately clocked the typo.
"It has a nice little case," she complimented. "It has the pink and little fireworks on it."
However, she said speaking of the 'RUMP' lettering: "I noticed it right away, The T is missing. It just says R-U-M-P."
"How could they process this and go through something without checking their work?" Melanie asked the outlet.
What the pricey watch should have looked like (Trump Watches) Sharing the same sentiments as his wife, Tim likewise told NBC 10 News: "I’m very disappointed. I wanted to do a special thing for her.
"And we expected that it would have the integrity of the President of the United States and good follow-through."
He added: "I think that someone needs to be aware of it in their licensing department, that someone’s dropped the ball big time."
The couple are clearly also not satisfied with how the watch company has since handled the ordeal.
"We’re not getting any kind of support or response," Melanie said. "We would like this corrected properly and quickly."
Tim added: "An apology would be nice for making my wife cry."
Tim later told the outlet that the company had got in contact with him, telling him that they would 'immediately replace the watch'.
The company also reportedly apologised and offered the couple a $800 coupon to buy something else.
