Woman who spent £130,000 to have legs extended left with huge regrets

We’ve all made purchases we regret. Like, we probably could have gone without that last drink at the bar. Or maybe we didn’t need to buy more than one outfit option for our friend’s birthday.

But a pricey cosmetic operation is a whole other type of purchase to regret.

And Theresia Fischer isn’t too made up about the £130,000 she splashed out on making her legs longer.

The 31-year-old model went through a gruelling leg-lengthening operation to add an extra 5.5 inches (13.97cm) to her height.

When she was 24-years-old, the German TV personality had adjustable metal rods inserted into her shins that are gradually cranked, extending the length of her legs.

Describing the operation to Bild, she said: “The shin bone is broken cleanly, the calf muscles are split and a telescopic rod is used in each case.

Theresia now says she regrets the leg-lengthening surgery.

“You stretch your lower legs independently by holding your knee with one hand and screwing your foot inward with the other hand until it clicks.

“Ten clicks a day on each side bring an additional 0.5 millimetres [0.02 inches]".

Theresia had claimed at the time she was made up with the results but now alleges the whole thing happened because her ex-husband nagged her to go through with it.

She blamed him for the operation while speaking with radio network MDR Jump earlier this week.

The star of Germany’s version of Celebrity Big Brother claims her ex told her: “Theresia, you know I like big ladies. So I would really like this. You could get up to 14cm more.”

Theresia adds: “[He would say] ‘you can’t do anything without me, you need me’.”

Theresia added 5.5 inches to her height.

Unsurprisingly, this affected her self-esteem, as she explained: “And if you are told that 20,30 60, 70 times - then you believe that you are nothing without him.

"I've never dealt with that before because I've always been happy with my body."

Theresia was 5foot 6inches before the extension and says she never knew the surgeries existed before her ex suggested it.

And now it’s something that upsets her to think about.

She said: “I am ashamed because I consented to an operation that shouldn’t have had.”

Though back in 2019, the influencer said she was happy with the results and had undergone the surgery to boost her self-confidence, with it also having benefits to her sex life.

She said: "My sex is better now! I have become very flexible with my legs and have more room to manoeuvre in bed."
