It never fails to amaze us how TikTok began as a humble dancing app and now has so much more to offer.

Pretty much any question you have can be answered in seconds by somebody who has first-hand experience.

Better yet, you’ll often find yourself with answers to questions you hadn’t yet thought to ask.

Danielle Molyneux, a TikToker and air hostess from Cheshire, uses her platform to provide a close insight into the daily realities of cabin crew life.

Molyneux, who works for Emirates airline, received a comment on an earlier video that read 'the pyjamas blow my mind', after she had gone through all of the included items when receiving an Emirates uniform.

This comment prompted her to make an explainer video that has since gone viral, being viewed over one million times.

Molyneux said: “During long-haul flights, cabin crew will change into pyjamas and take their break,” explaining that it is strictly forbidden to wear their own clothes during rest time when working for Emirates.

She continued: “If an emergency should occur while crew are on their break and they don’t have time to change into their normal uniform, they can be easily identified to customers."

The pyjamas are the instantly recognisable red colour of the Emirates uniform, and clearly state ‘Crew’ on the back.

It provided a lightbulb moment for many viewers who were impressed by the revelation.

One commenter said: “That's a good idea. Surprised all long haul airlines don't do this.”

Another added: “That’s actually very smart.”

A third chimed in: “Cute, practical and necessary!”

Molyneux is far from the only person using the platform to spill the tea on what it’s really like to work as an air hostess.

There is a treasure trove of information out there, regarding all kinds of different airlines and their practices.

Explaining the importance of the Emirates pyjamas isn't all Molyneux has to offer - her page also explores facts about the iconic hat, and which is the best lipstick to use.

Friday night plans? Watching a whole load of airhostess-Tok, it seems.
