The New Motorola Razr Flip Phone Is Here And It's The Ultimate Throwback

The most iconic phone of all time.

It is literally iconic. The Motorola Razr flip phone we remember so fondly from our teenage years is back in a brand new hi-tech version which arrives next month.

It's like all our phone dreams come true.

A smart phone with a decent screen, great camera, turbo battery and then it completely folds in half to make it smaller and looks seriously chic when you flip it open to answer calls.

The phone is exclusive to EE and is already available to pre-order (and has been since 22nd January).

Once your order is placed, it will arrive within 28 days, so the earliest people will get their hands on this new handset is 19th February - if you were an early bird.

The cost, like with any hi-tech new phone that's just launched is fairly eye-watering though, with £94 per month the cheapest option available and you'll also have to fork out £100 for the handset itself.

For that price, you receive 10GB of data, 4G, unlimited calls and texts.

Alternatively, opt for the £99 a month deal for 60GB of data (a much more appropriate amount for all that Spotify and Netflix streaming you're planning on doing - especially the latter as it boasts a 6.2 inch cinematic Flex View display). With this 'deal' the phone will cost just £50 upfront.

The most expensive plan available however is £114 per month for unlimited data - ideal if you're a real Youtube fiend.

Once flipped open, the phone locks in and sits flush to create a cinematic screen (

On this plan the phone is £30 and you can choose two free extra benefits, which includes BT Sport and Amazon Prime Video and Roam Further (allows you free calls and data whilst in countries such as Australia).

But there are so many options to pick from - including dropping down your data on the £99 deal, but adding swappable benefits instead.

But what exactly do you get for all that money?

For starters, a pocket-sized phone that folds out into a huge immersive touch screen - but the screen can still be used when not flipped over.

The camera has artificial intelligence, so it recommends the best mode (portrait, night etc) and even has a feature that snaps the photo automatically once everyone is smiling. Best get your gnashers out.

But the most exciting feature IOO, is supposedly the battery lasts all day (up to 28 hours on a single charge) and if you want a quick charge you can use TurboPower:tm: to get a few extra hours in just minutes.

Sounds fabulous although we'll believe it when we see it.

First launched back in 2004, the Moto Razr V3 (aka the OG) had a small colour screen, 1.3. megapixel camera and everyone loved its slimline design and sassy flip action.

It was THE phone to have - Paris Hilton and Reese Witherspoon even owned one.

Fast forward 16 years and we have advanced OLED screen technology, the ability to fold completely in half and sit flush to create a massive screen and a 16 megapixel camera, but most importantly, the same sass.

It is only available in black, but it boasts fun features such as twisting your wrist to take a quick selfie or change songs.

Tbh, we were sold at flip phone.
