Apparently, several men have recently been left mind-blown after learning about one common factor when it comes to what truly resides within the Notes pages of their girlfriends and wives' phones.

And by the sounds of things, they're not over the moon about it.

If you're anything like me, I bet there are several absolute staples when it comes to your Notes page.

I personally have a list of potential baby names (despite the fact I can barely keep a boyfriend), a family-sized Chinese takeaway order I just had to pen down before reading it down the phone, a checklist of passwords to emails and social media accounts I can never seem to remember, and a list Christmas present ideas (yes, I know it's only August, but there's nothing wrong with being prepared!).

I'd say they're all pretty normal items that you could need to whip out or add to every now and again, wouldn't you agree?

Apparently, however, I'm missing something off my list which countless other women reportedly hide within the pages of their Notes.

And according to several recent Reddit posts, several boyfriends and partners have been left horrified to discover it.

We are, of course, talking about a list of previous love interests.

Whether it be guys they've done the dirty with, lads they've almost tempted into bed, celebrity crushes or simply a list of snogs, apparently, if you go through the phones of your average woman, you'll find a list of men's names.

As is the case with one particular social media user, who lifted the lid on his startling revelation on Reddit this week.

"My girlfriend keeps a list of the guys that she’s been with on her phone in her notes app," the unnamed man began his explanation.

"When I’ve talked to her about it she just says that it’s 'totally normal' and 'means nothing to her'. She also states that it is a 'tradition between her friends'."

The anonymous boyfriend added: "I’ve known people that have done similar things like this and they’re not the type of people that should be getting in a relationship.

"I’m just asking if anyone thinks this is weird/not normal, or that they agree with her."

And if you had any doubt whether we were telling the truth with this story, the comments on the post alone point to a pretty general agreement.

"I had one until I was probably 30. Was helpful for remembering names and timelines," one lady confessed.

"By the time I started having more serious relationships it became less relevant/ interesting to me but I can still find it when I’m curious".

Another admitted: "I’m a girl, and I honestly have a list like this too in my journal. I don’t share this with boyfriends. Like another commenter said, it’s a way for me to reflect on my past."

"Me and almost every girl I know has a list in their notes app of men they’ve slept with or dated," a third went on.

Another continued: "I think it’s pretty normal / not a red flag".
