In society, we're often pressured to get things done a certain age - whether that's losing your virginity, finding a job, or getting your first home.
But an American woman has gone viral for saying how 'humiliated' and 'worried' she is that she still hasn't had her first kiss.
23-year-old Anneliese (@lavendercashewmilklatte) took to TikTok to explain how she has never had a boyfriend, explaining that she feels that it's getting harder and harder every year she gets older.

"I have to know the person I kiss before I kiss them," she explained
"I don't think I can make out with a random stranger. It has to be someone I know and care for."
Anneliese says she is 'embarrassed' by the situation.
"I'm actually starting to get scared," she said. "It's not even funny anymore.
"I'm 23, and I still have not had my first kiss - it's so horrifying."
The TikToker pointed out that when she was younger, she could play it off as 'cute', but not now, she says.
"It's getting scary. I don't see it changing anytime soon and I just keep getting older," Anneliese added.
"It's weird because I'm going to be so old and I'll have to tell someone I've never kissed anyone before. I'm so humiliated."
Anneliese - who has 217k followers on TikTok - also said she has never even had an 'awkward middle school boyfriend' she 'dated' for a day.
"I'm really starting to feel like something's wrong with me. I don't know why I am the way that I am. It's not good," she said.
The TikToker says she wants to feel comfortable while having a sense of intimacy.
"Everyone's first bit of advice is always to go to a bar, get drunk, and make out with someone, or go on a dating app and find someone and kiss him." she said.
"But my first problem is that I don't drink, and I don't think I could go up to a stranger sober. I would be so anxious the whole time!
"So then, I'd have to get a boyfriend before I have my first kiss, and that's a whole other set of problems because I don't know how to do that."
Taking to the comments were hundreds of other users, claiming they were also still yet to have their first kiss.
"23 haven’t had my first kiss or Anything else don’t worry girl it’ll happen We’ve got this," one person wrote.
Another added: "Girly I am still here at 28."
"Girl I’m 25 and never had a kiss," a third commented.
While a fourth said: "I just turned 24 and feeling the EXACT same way! not even a crumb of romance!!!"
Age is just a number, do things at your own pace, I say.
