For most of us in a relationship the idea of a 'hall pass' fills us with fear, but this couple believes it made them stronger and they are now happier than ever.

David Guerrero, 30, from Tottenham had been in a relationship with his girlfriend Laura Noah, 29, for six years when he admitted to her that he was starting to find other women attractive.

The professional dancer told Laura that if she did not agree to an open relationship he would break up with her because he needed 'someone else to light his fire'.

At first David and Laura began to look for women that were open to threesomes and tried sex parties- but David admits this left him unsatisfied.

Laura agreed to let David meet women for sex as long as he didn't become too attached to them which led to him sleeping with 300 women over the past four years.

Describing the first awkward conversation about an open relationship David said: "One night over dinner I told her I still loved her but I wanted to have sex with other women.

"It was horrible but felt like a huge weight had been lifted. I was bored. I needed someone else to light my fire."

He continued: "She understood and gave me a hall pass to do what I pleased as long as I followed the rule - no falling in love or growing too attached to another woman.

"Jealousy used to be a bit of a problem and Laura felt left out. She would argue with me and sometimes cry. Laura would get upset and tell me to end things with that girl but now she is used to it.

"Although our set-up is not conventional, I believe we are happier than most couples in conventional monogamous relationships. With us, there are no lies, no sneaking around and no betrayal."

David says he meets up with around three women a week and there are a few he sees quite regularly.

Speaking about her decision to give David a hall pass, Laura said: "When David suggested an open relationship I was frightened.

"At first it was hard but now I feel like a modern woman as his affairs have also given me freedom too.

"In a monogamous relationship, if someone is attracted to someone else it is a big problem.

"But in an open relationship the fear of betrayal and someone sneaking behind your back is taken away.

"Good communication is key to avoiding tense situations and being clear about your priorities.I am not sure about what we will do in the future but I am happy now."
