For some reason, the weird and wonderful world of those who work in the beauty industry is of endless fascination to us punters - especially as they don't hold back on dishing the dirt.

A senior aesthetician who said they 'wax vaginas and other body parts', invited the Reddit community to ask absolutely anything.

The audience well and truly came through with a wide range of interesting queries.

One of the most prominent questions was: "What do you think is the most misunderstood thing about vaginas?"

The aesthetician responded: "Good question. I feel every woman needs to feel comfortable in their own skin- all vaginas are different. The more comfortable the woman is about her vagina and embrace how it is, the better!"

There's a dose of body positivity we all needed.

But of course, the questions didn't stop there.

Another person asked: "Do you prefer talkative or quiet customers? I'm super extroverted and usually have a conversation the entire time I'm getting my Brazilian and I hope it's not annoying."

The waxer then explained: "I LOVE when the clients talk! Makes it a lot more comfortable for the client and us! Thank you for talking with us... sometimes we are a therapist too.

"Also it’s really amazing to learn about people and I love hearing what people have to offer when telling me things. It brings the relationship to a whole new level haha."

Good to know if you're a chatterbox!

A third asked: "Can you smell the odour while waxing the private part eg the butt and the front? How do you cope with the smell?"

The answer was: "Sometimes it’s definitely not pleasant. To be honest though, 99.9 percent of my clients shower right before they come to see me, they would be awkward and gross if they didn’t.

"I am pretty blessed with the clientele I have, and they’re respectful and make sure they clean themselves before they see me!"

And in case you were curious about what aestheticians enjoy during the day job, and what they'd rather avoid, look no further.

Somebody posed the question: "Best and worst thing you’ve seen?"

Without skipping a beat, this truthtelling waxer responded: "Best is definitely transforming eyebrows into masterpieces."

She continued: "The worst - I had a lady come in who had genital herpes and wanted a full Brazilian wax - I had to decline her and ask her to leave."

Understandable.
