Mum slammed for lavish lifestyle as she reveals she spent £450k on watch for nine-year-old son

She didn't hesitate to splash the cash

An Aussie mum has been slammed after buying a staggering £450k watch for her nine-year-old son.

Now, Aussie businesswoman Roxy Jacenko is known for liking the finer things in life and it's clear that her son Hunter has the exact same high-end taste.

The 44-year-old took to social media to share with her followers exactly what presents the child asked for when Roxy told him she missed him - and the costly item has since shocked the internet.

Roxy is no stranger to expensive gift requests from her two children, Pixie, 12, and Hunter, nine.

However, she is now making waves on social media yet again after agreeing to really splash the cash to buy Hunter a luxury designer watch.

The Sydney socialite, who founded public relations firm Sweaty Betty PR, shared a WhatsApp exchange between herself and her son where he was far from shy with his demands for the top-end item.

"I miss you," Roxy wrote.

"Same," Hunter replied before asking: "Can you buy me presents. And surprise me. Not s*** ones tho. Like cool stuff."

She responded: "Like what. No problem."

Hunter then sent over a picture of the Audemars Piguet Royal Oak Perpetual Calendar watch, which is valued at around a mammoth £450,000.

"This please," he wrote.

She took to Instagram to share Hunter's hefty request.

Roxy's overlay text on the screenshot read 'OK' with a laughing emoji.

Not everyone was happy with Roxy giving into her son's pricey request.

One X user wrote: "Gees stroking her ego much. Thousands of children going hungry around Australia and she wastes money like this."

Another commented: "That's disgusting."

An Instagram user said: "Yes, you have an expensive watch, we get it, there are millions of people out there that do. Why is it only the nouveau rich that do this?"

And this is by no means the first time Hunter has had no issue asking his parenting for pricey purchases.

Last Christmas, the child asked for a selection of high-end perfumes including Tom Ford's F**king Fabulous and Tom Ford's Tobacco Vanille.

There were also scents from other designer brands including the likes of Coach, Versace, Dior and Jean Paul Gaultier - with all the fragrances totalling up to a small fortune in the thousands.

The business mogul revealed back in June she was leaving Sydney to live with her husband, former investment banker Oliver Curtis, in Singapore.

Speaking about her new living situation, Roxy previously admitted to the Sydney Morning Herald: "No one knows me there, no one has any preconceived idea of who or what I am, no one has any expectation, and best of all, no one actually cares!"
