When it comes to children's birthday parties, there are plenty of options you can choose from to ensure a fun time for all.

If you want to fork out for some entertainment, then magicians are an excellent bet. Failing that there's always musical chairs and fancy dress.

However, one option you could go for is to hire someone to dress up as your child's favourite character. It could be Ariel from The Little Mermaid, Buzz Lightyear from Toy Story, or someone else entirely, but that's also an excellent bet.

With Barbie now out in cinemas, one fan has shared an unusual turn of events at one of her birthday parties. Her fifth birthday, to be precise.

TikToker joilia_go0lia shared that she was absolutely Barbie-mad as a child. So, her mother had arranged for someone to come be Barbie for her at her birthday party, as you would.

There was just one slight hiccup. The lady that her mother booked to dress up as Barbie was, let's say, dressing up as Barbie in a different capacity. One which was very much NOT for children.

In a video on the app, she said: "My parents hired an adult entertainer for my fifth birthday party by accident. I'm getting ready to go to the Barbie movie, obviously, and I just remembered that I had a Barbie-themed birthday party when I was five.

"And my mom said that she hired someone from the phonebook because I'm 700 years old. And back then you just were like, Oh, look in the phone book for entertainers, and they respond for Barbie and that was the theme. Perfect.

The Barbie who arrived went along with the party though.

"The woman shows up and she is a stripper, and I love her."

Oh dear. Because, of course Barbie-themed strippers exist. However, fortunately, the entertainer did play along for the party, and she was absolutely delighted at her birthday.

She continued: "She played along. She did not take off her clothes. I followed her around thrilled that Barbie came to my birthday party and all of the parents there had a really good laugh.

"I'm still waiting for proof from my mom. I swear this happened. She's gonna look through pictures today but I will show you the receipts."

What an image! The entertainer must also have had a surprise as well.

Viewers found the whole thing hilarious, as one wrote: "That may have been a fun change of pace for her."

Another posted: "That may have been a fun change of pace for her."

A third wrote: "That was probably the best day of work she’s ever had."

Unfortunately, in the end, her mum couldn't find the photos, but the memories will never fade!
