A mum 'got fired' on her very first day for being an hour late to work after driving through a blizzard.

Damita JoMama, who goes by the handle @swagger_waggon online, took to TikTok to open up about the ordeal.

She began by explaining she lives in Arkansas, adding: "If you know anything about Arkansas, we don't usually get snow, we don't get snow often. So when we do get it, everything shuts down."

The woman took to TikTok to open up about the ordeal.

So, instead of taking her car, the woman took her mother's SUV to drive into work.

"I have never had to drive in snow before because every job I've had previous to this, I've always been off when there's snow," Damita continued.

She then headed to work and took the main streets instead of getting 'stuck' on the freeway

The streets weren't clear leaving Damita 'terrified', adding: "So long story short, I get there almost an hour late, but I'm thinking like, 'Okay, I'm gonna be apologetic."

She told people at her work: "I've never had to drive in the snow before.

"It took me longer than usual. But now that I know, I can prepare better for next time. And I'll be here on time."

The person she was speaking to allegedly 'did not care' and simply told her 'you're late' before asking: "We could get here, why couldn't you get here?"

To which the TikToker responded: "Maybe I'm not used to driving in snow. I got here as quick as I could."

The staff member then apparently called another woman into her office to which Damita was then told they didn't think they could 'go any further' with her at the workplace before walking her out.

Warning: Video below contains strong language:

Shocked by the staff member's reaction, Damita said: "I'm just like, 'Are you f**king serious? Like, it's snowing like two to three inches of snow!"

She continued: "Oh, and another thing, she tried to call me a liar because she was like, 'Well, why didn't you call?'

"I was like, 'Well, I didn't have a number to call because the emails that y'all sent me didn't have no damn phone number'."

The staff member then claimed 'every email' they had sent her had a phone number on it which Damita said was not the case when she walked back to her car to check the emails again.

"So, long story short, f**k that job and hopefully I can get my old job back," she concluded.

Damita captioned the TikTok: "I'm still in shock but best believe HR is getting an email from me."
