While some mums are adamant they want to look their best during labour - opting for different beauty treatments beforehand - others are less fussed.

But one mum on TikTok revealed how she got her nails done, blow dried her hair and fake tanned all before she was induced for the birth of her second child.

Indy - who goes by @indyclinton on TikTok - talked followers through her pre-birth routine, where she dropped her son off at nursery before heading off for a pamper day - getting her nails done and heading out to lunch before arriving home, blow drying her hair and slathering on the fake tan.

Indy had a pedicure and manicure before popping into a toy shop to pick up some gifts for her son from his soon-to-arrive little sister, before heading out for some sushi, doing some food shopping and finally arriving home.

She said: “It’s finally hit me that I’m having a baby, I think I’ve been in denial for nine months, but it’s hit me that I’ll have another baby by the end of the week.

“I just want to run a few errands before I give birth, so I’m going to get my nails done, get Navy a present from his little sister.

“I’m going to pretend this is from his little sister - I think I’ve got a few things”.

Once home, Indy then washed her hair before applying her tan, explaining: "Before someone says 'why am I fake tanning for labour?' Do I want to look ugly while I'm pushing out a child from my...? No."

She then got together some toiletries and other bits and bobs before picking her son up from nursery.

Other followers were super supportive of Indy's pre-birth routine, with one person commenting: "I did this exact same thing before my induction!! I hope your birth goes well."

While another said: "Yes I did my make up during labour you want to feel as beautiful as possible when someone is looking at your flower."

Once home, Indy then washed her hair before applying her tan.

And a third added: "Stop your gonna look amazing in labour."

Meanwhile a fourth agreed, commenting: "Hahahaha this will be me, I’ll be tanning before labor and waxing... have to feel like a queen."

"Your nails and hair look beautiful…looks like you’re all set," added a fifth follower.

We're loving this commitment!
