From misplaced objects to relationship drama, technology glitches and a general 'off' feeling - you already know what's coming.

That's right, it's not just you that's been feeling iffy, Mercury is in fact in retrograde again.

Have you found yourself texting an ex, feeling nostalgic, or going through an identity crisis within the past few days? Well, maybe wait it out before making any huge life decisions as the cosmic phenomenon could be behind it.

This particular Mercury retrograde began on 9 November and is set to continue all the way through until 29 November, marking the last retrograde of 2025.

For those who have no idea what we're talking about, Mercury retrograde is a period in time when the planet Mercury appears to move backward in the sky from Earth's perspective.

Mercury is the closest planet to the Sun and the retrograde is essentially an optical illusion which occurs three or four times a year, making the planet appear to move in the opposite direction than it usually does.

What is Mercury retrograde?

I know what you're thinking, what on Earth does this have to do with us?

Well, believers and astrology fanatics think that these planetary movements can actually affect us in a number of ways and make things in our lives go amiss.

And Mercury retrograde in particular has quite the infamous reputation for causing havoc.

In astrology, the planet Mercury rules over things like communication, travel, how we process information, planning your schedule, and your routine.

So, when it goes in to retrograde, everything basically becomes a bit more chaotic and stressful.

Communication being affected can also spell relationship disaster, as well as causing you to be more cautious with career moves and seeing texts being read in the wrong context.

You could also fall out with your friends, suffer with heightened anxiety, or simply just feel a bit uncomfortable like you're having 'one of those days'.

Reacting to the November retrograde on social media, one Twitter user penned: "Oh so that’s why I have been crying nonstop since yesterday evening."

While a second added: "Every time this starts, life just gets harder."

Which star signs are going to be most affected by Mercury retrograde?

There are three signs that especially need to brace themselves for the retrograde as they might be feeling the effects the most.

Sagittarius, Scorpio, and Virgo - I'm looking at you.

Sagittarius

As per The Every Girl, Sagittarius are unfortunately going to be affected the most and they're especially 'at risk for misunderstandings' so now isn't the time to have important conversations.

Spiritual adviser Tetiana Tsvil told the publication: "The most important thing for you during this time is to check any important messages, emails, and texts to avoid conflicts. If you feel like you missed out on an opportunity or a person has left your life during this period, don’t worry. It’s likely that once Mercury retrograde is over, it will return."

Scorpio

Scorpios will also feel this period of time deeply, however, they may feel like something is returning to their life during the retrograde, rather than leaving.

According to the expert, this could be something like the return of a person into your life or the arrival of important news or information you’ve been waiting for.

However, you shouldn't get too comfortable as whatever it is, it may not stick around once the retrograde ends.

Virgo

Finally, because Virgos are ruled by Mercury, they’re more likely to feel the retrograde’s impacts strongly, specifically feeling like things are slowing down.

However, it's good to lean into this and embrace the downtime rather than try to make a load of plans.

Tsvil added: "Virgos may also feel a certain cyclicality during this period, as if the events and opportunities of the previous Mercury retrograde, which occurred in July, are repeating themselves."
