Man launches furious rant at parents during flight after their baby was 'crying for 45 minutes'

The man didn't hold back his anger at the parents

One man has launched a furious rant at parents during a flight after their baby was relentlessly 'crying for 45 minutes'.

The unhappy passenger was on a Southwest Airlines flight to Florida when the little tot began wailing for nearly an entire hour.

Totally outraged by the ordeal, the man launched a tirade against the parents as well as the airplane's cabin crew.

A baby crying on a plane - it's something we've all experienced.

While many consider the situation an annoying, but somewhat inevitable, part of any plane trip - it's clear that one man had reached his limit.

In a video which is currently going viral online, the man can be seen leaning over the parents as he shouts at them for nearly five long minutes.

The clip was uploaded to TikTok by a fellow plane passenger who captioned the flight from hell: "Belligerent passenger causes diversion."

He can be heard swearing a whole bunch of times - over 20 to be exact - as he raises his voice and, all the while, it's clearly not making the child any less teary.

Flustered staff can be seen flocking left, right and centre in a hopes to placate the angry passenger, but it's apparent that they had no luck whatsoever in de-escalating the heated situation.

Throughout the ranting session, one flight attendant says to the angry passenger: "You're yelling."

Upon which, the man clapped back with: "So is the baby!"

The clip has since racked up over 160,000 views, since it was first posted yesterday (18 April), and has subsequently been reposted to other social media platforms including Instagram, Twitter and Facebook.

It seems to have split the internet right down the middle, leaving people totally divided on where they stand over the whole fiasco.

Some viewers found the man's behaviour entirely inappropriate with one Twitter user writing: "If you can’t handle the sound of a crying baby or toddler, maybe air travel or being in public isn’t for you.

"Personally, I’d be embarrassed by my inability to cope with something so basic that happens all the time. But I just believe that’s part of being a functioning adult."

Ouch.

Another echoed: "This wasn't the way to handle this," while a third added: "I get his frustration but ummm it’s a child. Hell he made it worse."

Others, however, totally sided with the raging man.

"Why should the rest of us have to be subjected to the crappy behaviour of other people’s kids?" one Twitter user asked, "Honestly, if a kid can’t behave on a flight, it doesn’t belong on it."

Another added: "I would go a bit insane listening to a child yell like that for 45 minutes."

A final Twitter user penned: "Apparently this baby/toddler was going at it for the better part of an hour.

"That’s a long time to deal with that."

It sure is.

A representative for Southwest Airlines told TODAY.com: "We do not have details on this flight to share but commend our flight crew for their professionalism and offer our apologies to the other customers onboard."

What do you make of it?
