People are losing their minds after discovering hidden compartment in toasters

Much of the internet has been left mind-blown after discovering toasters have a hidden compartment.

A toaster is such a common item found in the majority of people's kitchen, so you'd think everyone would know its every nook and cranny.

Heck, the majority of us use it every morning for a quick bite to eat before that dreaded commute to work.

But after all these years of the much-loved kitchen item being in our homes, foodies have noticed a hidden feature that will make cleaning the kitchen appliance a great deal easier.

In fact, the discovery has left many people losing their minds.

That is all thanks to Australian TikToker Kacie, who is better known for her large following as The Big Clean Co on the popular video platform.

Kacie claims in the TikTok that the hidden compartment is supposed to catch all the leftover crumbs.

"There are cleaning hacks going around the internet that are not really hacks at all, they make it harder," she said.

"This week I was sent one. 'Clean your toaster with a hairdryer'. Just tip it in the bin."

The TikToker then put her hand under the toaster and pulled out a tiny tray that was filled with crumbs.

The video has racked up more than 2.2 million views on the platform, with a big debate taking place in the comment section.

While some claimed that they always knew about the tray, others couldn't believe it was even a thing.

One person said: "Omg I can't believe this. I always stare at it and get annoyed because of all the crumbs."

A second added: "There's a TRAY?!?!?!?"

Meanwhile, a third remarked: "Um I didn’t even know a toaster had a toaster tray?"

And a fourth said: "I didn't even know it had one until it fell out the bottom the other day."

But another user was in disbelief that so many people were unaware that toasters have a hidden compartment.

A lot of people didn't know about the secret tray in a toaster.

They said: "OK I understand ya'll not understanding about some things but, ya'll didn't know about toaster trays??? Like your house could catch on fire."

In another nifty hack, a man has explained how to get the best seat on a plane for free.

In the video, the man explains that he is travelling to Albania with Ryanair, and bought a standard plane ticket.

He says: “I’m about to get on a place to Albania, but I've only got a s****y seat, look at it, it's 11B.

“I'm not sitting in that, I’m going to sit at the front, with extra legroom, all you have to do is walk super confidently on.”

As easy as pie, eh.
