There’s nothing worse than getting stuck into your weekly deep-clean, only to have your cordless vacuum cleaner run out of charge just a few minutes into vacuuming.

Well, one man has taken to TikTok to show his followers a hack to get their Dyson vacuum battery to last.

Appearing to pimp up his low-charged battery with what looks like a drill add-on, the man is able to carry on cleaning up in no time. Check out the video below:

Pretty soon, onlookers flooded the comments section with praise for the man and his DIY trick.

One social media viewer wrote: “TikTok educating the people,” while another asked: “Omg I need to know how to do this!”

“Wow really good, thank you for sharing,” another praised, while someone else added: “Now it'll run forever.”

Meanwhile, a different viewer said: “Turned it into a Dysla."

One man has taken to TikTok to show his followers how to get their Dyson hoover battery to last.

However, it’s important to note that this is not a manufacturer-recommended hack if you’re considering fleshing out your Dyson cordless vacuum cleaner like this.

Instead, Dyson has told Tyla in a statement: "Dyson strongly advises against using non-genuine battery attachments with Dyson machines as they have not been tested to our reliability and safety standards and may cause serious harm. We recommend only using genuine Dyson parts purchased direct or through our official 3rd party suppliers."

The Dyson website also reminds customers that all cordless vacuums have a two-year guarantee on parts and labour.

For customers worried about their product’s current battery life, Dyson explains on their website that if their vacuum has a reduced run time when not in MAX power mode or the vacuum displays more than 12 flashing lights, then it may be time to replace your battery.

You can buy replacement batteries from the official Dyson website here.

Elsewhere on the subject of cleaning, people are using dishwasher tablets to clean their showers - and the results are incredible.

News of the hack has emerged on the Facebook group Mums Who Clean.

On the group, a user named Gemma shared a snap of her spotless shower with the caption: "Whoever suggested dishwasher tablets to clean your shower is a legend.

She added: "Never in my life have I been able to clean a shower with such ease."

The social media user explained that all it took to get her shower looking like new was 'three Fairy dishwashing tablets.'

She wrote: "I literally just made sure the shower was wet, used a tiny bit of water on the tablet to soften it, then wiped over with the tablet." You can read more on that story here.
