Pet owners can now take their dogs on a tailored spa date, in news that we've definitely been waiting for.

High street pet store Pets at Home is offering a new Groom Room Summer Fresh spa package for dogs, complete with grooming advice for animal owners.

And lucky owners can spoil their pooches for just £9 on top of any of the store's grooming packages.

The luxurious pampering sesh includes a 'shampoo and spritz', a blueberry facial, a paw and nose balm application as well as application of teeth gel and fresh breath foam, so your furry friend's breath can be fresh as a daisy!

What's more, pampered pooches will also get a free bandana thrown in with their package. Sounds like a dog's dream tbh!

NHS workers get a 10 per cent discount on pet grooming treatments (

Available until 30th September, it's the ideal way to spoil your dog this summer and thank them for their efforts in being a good doggo through lockdown.

And pampering your pet is as essential to a dog's wellbeing as it is for humans, it transpires.

Regular grooming is an essential part of caring for your pet's health and wellbeing, says Pets at Home.

Pet owners can also pick up a rainbow collar charm, with all proceeds going to the NHS (

The tailored spa package will help to "keep pups' paws tidy and trim, to help them stay cool", while also preventing matting, removing loose grass seeds in their coat and helping to keep any nasty infections, or parasites, away.

Book online here, or find out more information about summer grooming on the Pets at Home website.

And if you need anymore convincing?

"Pets at Home's friendly team of qualified groomers will make sure your dog is looking and feeling their best," says the description.

Sounds perfect!

And what's more, any pet owners who work for the NHS also get a 10 per cent discount on treatments, while those of us who don't can pick up a rainbow collar charm, the snazziest accessory for your pet, for £1.50, with all proceeds from the sale of this product going to the NHS.
