Khloe Kardashian's confession that she sometimes edits pictures appears to have divided fans.

The Keeping Up With Kardashians star threatened legal action recently in order to suppress an unedited bikini photo which had been posted to social media by mistake - and it turns out fans are in two minds about the situation.

In a survey of 2,000 individuals aged between 16-39, 65 per cent said Khloe Kardashian had no right to be angry about the un-photoshopped image of her being posted. Considerably less (35 per cent) empathised with the Kardashian, saying they felt it was an invasion of her privacy.

"As someone who has struggled with body image her whole life," said the reality TV star in a statement, "when someone takes a photo of you that isn't flattering and in bad lighting or doesn't capture your body the way it is after working so hard to get it to this point - and then shares it to the world - you should have every right to ask for it to not be shared - regardless of who you are."

However, two-thirds of the people surveyed said that for them, stars like Khloe were the issue, and they felt pressured to look a certain way because of the "body perfect" high standards set out by celebrities and models online.

And one-third think that celebrities should be banned from editing their images when they're endorsing and advertising beauty products.

Furthermore, 38 per cent admitted they find it refreshing to see celebrities or influencers in unedited photos, while a further 23 per cent say they feel 'conned' by Khloe's revelation.

Over the years, Khloe Kardashian has been subject to trolling about her figure and she has spoken out about her insecurities and her fitness regime on KUWTK.

"In truth, the pressures, constant ridicule and judgement my entire life to be perfect and meet each other's standards of how I should look has been too much to bear," she said on Instagram.

"'Khloe is the fat sister.' 'Khloe is the ugly sister.' 'Her dad must not be her real dad because she looks so different.' 'The only way she could have lost that weight must have been from surgery' Should I go on?"

However, a scroll through Twitter showed that some think she missed the point.

"I am empathetic to the pain and insecurities khloé kardashian admits she faces, but I think what is important to note is that the kardashian family has contributed if not created the beauty standard over the last 2 decades through photoshop, surgery, and exuberant wealth..." wrote one person after reading Khloe's statement.

While another said: "Not Khloe Kardashian crying about the "impossible standards" of beauty that her own family literally perpetuates".

"So Khloe Kardashian just said I'm tired of the unrealistic perfection that Instagram expects of me even tho my family created it so I'm gonna wipe the internet of a real photo of me that is realistic and imperfect to be unrealistic and perfect..... #KhloeKardashian," a third wrote.

Khloe Kardashian appears alongside her sisters in the final series of KUWTK, which started airing in March 2021.
