The Little Mermaid Cocktail Experience Is Coming To London

The Little Mermaid is known by millions across the world largely thanks to the magnificent Disney film of the same name, having splashed onto screens in 1989.

But did you know the tale of Ariel, Prince Eric and Ursula is based on a Danish fairytale? Yep, the classic Disney film takes inspiration from Hans Christian Anderson's short story, first published in 1837.

The fairytale is also the inspiration behind a boozy cocktail night that is finally coming to London after making its grand debut in the US.

Hidden under the concrete ‘sea’ of skyscrapers and office blocks in London’s Bermondsey, lies the magical Black Swan Studios where the Little Mermaid cocktail experience is based.

Guests are invited to take a dive beneath the waves for a 60-minute theatrical excursion, with bespoke themed cocktails inspired by the original tale of love and loss.

Customers will also get the chance to meet the eponymous mermaid while you enjoy a "theatrical experience". The performance takes place on The Little Mermaid’s birthday as she visits the world above water for the very first time.

You’ll be able to join her on her quest, with lots of delicious cocktails in tow, as she finds her feet (literally) in the dark abode of the nefarious Sea Witch named Ursula in the Disney flick.

There's also a selection of non-alcoholic beverages on offer too.

The Little Mermaid experience has touched the hearts of cocktail lovers in Chicago already and customers in the Big Apple will also get a chance to have drinks with Ariel in November.

You can book now for dates starting on 30th September in London. Prices start from £42.

There are lots of time slots available generally between 6.00pm and 9.30pm Thursday to Sunday.

Each show lasts approximately 60 minutes and you must bring 18+ age verification with you. 

The Black Swan Studios are located in Bermondsey, south east London and the dress code is casual - but feel free to arrive in nautical fancy dress costumes if your heart desires.
