We all love a Chupa Chup, don't we? But what nobody likes is trying to open the damn things.

These lollipops have frustrated sweet toothed Brits for years, as they are so tightly wrapped that the lollipops are often torn of their sticks in the effort to open them.

But one mum has come forward with a genius hack that may change the way you eat your sweets.

Speaking on her TikTok channel, Lauren asked her viewer: "Does this bring you intense fury and rage instead of happiness and joy?

"Because it shouldn't take a f**king angle grinder to open a lollipop.

"I feel you and I'm here to fix it for you. I know the secret!"

Lauren then pointed towards the bottom of the wrapper, where a little 'flag' was shown protruding outwards.

Continuing, she explained: "Could be red, could be black, depending on the flavour. All you need to do is pull it."

Lauren then demonstrated the hack - pulling the flag so the plastic effortlessly unravelled and freed the lollipop from its wrapper.

Lauren came up with an ingenious hack to open up the beloved lollipops.

People were quick to applaud Lauren for her groundbreaking revelation in the comments section, with one writing: "OMG, my life is changed now."

"Whaaaaaaaa," another gushed.

A fellow grateful commenter said: "You saved me, thank you for your kindness," whilst another simply wrote: "OH MY GOD!"

However, it appears that the little flag may have been something of an open secret for others in the comment section, who weren't as impressed.

One unimpressed viewer commented: "I thought everyone knew that," while another in-the-know commenter remarked: "I've been doing this my whole life."

I guess you can't win them all, huh?

Well regardless, Chupa Chups have been made a little easier to navigate for millions of others.

Maybe I am overstating the significance of this, but the energy saved in trying to tear apart the wrapper is a benefit to us all.

This isn't the first time a food hack has been shared on TikTok.

One woman revealed that she was able to pop open jars of pickles by running a butter knife along the side of the lid, whilst turning it with her other hand.

This hack impressed some viewers, but left many questioning why she didn't simply bang it off the side of her kitchen counter.

The tried and true method, I guess.

I'm still waiting to find out how to stick a straw into a Capri Sun without puncturing the entire thing. There's a hack worth looking into.
